Anybody else receive a bulk PSA shipment back recently, only to be dumbfounded at some of the grades? IDK if my grader was having a sh***Y a$$ day or something but around 20-30 grades of the 110 cards I sent in just baffle me. Will post pics shortly.

Yeah i just got back a lot of 8’s and 7’s on about 300 pack fresh wotc holos, when in the past that sort of quality card would’ve pulled a 9

small sample size though, so can’t come to any real conclusions

Bummer man. And ya, I know I am not a grader, but thus far I have had a fairly good sense/range of what a card is going to get. When you get back multiple cards that you know you sent in near pristine conditions that come back EX 5’s though, something just doesn’t seem right. And now, as I look at them more closely with a flashlight, nearly all of these same cards have damage in the same spot (bottom right corner on back). Thankfully, I took a picture of every card front and back prior to sending, so I can prove the damage occurred after shipping them.

I would be curious to hear anybody 's experiences dealing with this sort of thing. If I can prove their condition when I shipped them off, can I hold anybody accountable for damage? And if so who?

Pics still to come. Still sorting through this frekin mess.

During which step in the grading process does PSA normally upcharge? Is it QA 2?

More experience, less qualms and vice versa.

yes mine was through a dealer which I feel could have been the reason for this

Hi guys, I have a question please. If I send to PSA for reholder a slab that meanwhile has changed name, e.g. I send a Vending Mail In slab, do I get back a Masaki Promo slab? Or previous classification survives also in the new label?

I’ve only gotten back Jpn recently from PSA but they all pretty much got 10s (about 90%).

What kind of Japanese, old back promos or set cards?

Does anyone have advice for cracking PSA 9’s and submitting to BGS? In my very limited experience with BGS they seem to be tough on centering, so my first thought is to look for well-centered PSA 9’s. Does anyone else have a similar impression? Any other tips? I’m cool with BGS 9’s, just want to avoid 8.5’s and wouldn’t mind a 9.5 here and there.

Thanks all.

Everything I have is old lol. Combos of each.

Along with Nostalgix which was announced a few weeks back, CGC have also now agreed to start grading cards from Grand Archive when those are released as well - that’s another TCG which is currently going through the Kickstarter funding phase, though unlike Nostalgix which I believe also had Patreon backing, Grand Archive’s Kickstarter campaign is their first round of funding.

I don’t usually care for TCGs other than PokĆ©mon but when I discovered Grand Archive I decided to go to their Discord server with an expectation that it’d be some multi-level marketing cash grab garbage, but I was pleasantly surprised to see how their community is shaping up around the TCG gameplay aspects and how their devs are actively looking at feedback from people playing their print and play decks. I’ve even started playing their sample decks with my wife and it’s turned a negative view of Kickstarter-funded TCGs I had into something a bit more positive. I would definitely advise checking them out if you’re interested in a new playable TCG.

I didn’t mean to turn this post into a sales pitch, but I’m genuinely pretty excited for this one.

Thanks for sharing this. I have always been a fan of anime-style TCGs. Even if the game doesn’t take off, I don’t mind collecting the cards just for the artworks, like what I did for Force of Will TCG. Btw, if everyone hasn’t notice, the company name is Weebs of the Shore =P

Anyone have late nov early dec bulks through ludkins back yet?

Outside of very unique cards like Ancient Mew, I literally don’t care about the back of a card for the ones that are staying with me until the end. If PSA theoretically had a service where they gave separate grades for the front and back that would be interesting. I doubt it’s ever going to happen, but I can dream. 10 front and 1 back? Assuming the front-grade looks accurate and the price is reasonable, I’d happily buy that, crack it, put it in my binders. Good night.

I know at least one of the newer companies (and BGS if I’m not mistaken?) can show you where the card was docked points, but that’s more nuanced.

What is the lowest PSA grade you’ve seen for issues that are likely only on the back of the card?

hi guys
what is actualy best and cheapest way to grading cards with psa if I living in UK? I check official psa webiste and cost of one card is ~150$ which is a lot,its there any other way to grade with psa?

You can wait for lower tiers to open back up but it’s a coin flip for when that happens and at what price point.

I got an early september order back a few weeks ago through them. Timeline seems to be about 16+ months or so from the date Ludkins received the order

Like a few others in here…still waiting on October bulk from ludkins personally.
