日本のマーケット部分 The Giant Japanese Market Thread

Omg! This stupid magikarp sv1a 080 keeps going up! Before, I didn’t want to buy it at like £15, and now the cheapest listing on cardmarket is £28 and around the same price on ebay too

thats what happens when the English equivalent gets out to many peoples price range

Is the English going up? I honestly haven’t looked to purchase an English card in a year.
Guess I’ll have to suck it up and just buy it before it goes any higher

yeah card english is now around 170 to 200

I have the magikarp luckily

Will SV8a be the most graded Japanese set of all time (up until 2025)

Nowhere near the number of popular Pokémon or characters that makes people want to grade every single Art Rare / Special Art Rare in the set as VSTAR Universe

I agree, let’s say 10 main SARs (Eeveelutions) with a few others added in. The master balls might be heavily graded as well, closing the gap a little bit.

Will be interesting to see a few months from now the total population of graded cards

Unlike 151, it’s an assortment of playable cards so most likely people will just grade Master Ball mirror foils of Eeveelutions and/or their favourites instead of trying to collect the whole thing. However I do expect it to at least match VMAX Climax for graded total (214,908)

Both 151 and s12a have more cards that are ‘grading plays’ and a lot of them are at a much more approachable entry price. All 3 sets will probably be up there in the top 10 sets graded of all time but the only set I can see overtaking s12a is 151

side-note, how do we see the total graded per set? I can’t find the page for it any more

Overall, I have to say I expected SV8a to be way more expensive upon release. Especially as it was hyped up to be Eevee Heroes 2
