日本のマーケット部分 The Giant Japanese Market Thread

Grade them now. There’s no point in denying or being anti-high price, the sale prices are what they are at this point and I’d sell into this market while this buyer is buying.

My pikachu is probably 7-8 condition but i dont wanna let go of it :pensive: funny, i was literally looking at these on ebay last summer thinking “i cant believe all these copies are sitting around for like ~$50, i should just go buy them all up,” and sure enough :grinning: played myself

Well, I ended up contacting Buyee and apparently they package did arrive but because I paid for the 500 yen inspection/insurance they said the seller didn’t send the correct card(suspicious).

I’ve never had an issue buying from Japan before.

Anything seem off with this listing? What does “Gun Profile Required” mean? Price seems just barely good enough to be true. A sly tactic?

「ぐん」is just the name of the account. 「プロフ必須」is “profile required”, which suggests they want actual comments on the Mercari listing. Some sellers will only sell if you leave a real comment.「発送日11日」means they ship out the 11th day of the month.

As for the listing itself, Mario Pikachu promos are some of the most faked cards on YHJ and Mercari. I’ve even seen fake copies in fake PSA slabs.

While the seller does have a lot of feedback and a high rating their account is also unverified on Mercari, which is kinda suspicious: https://jp.mercari.com/en/item/m31748229141

For reference, I’ve seen accounts with single and double digit be verified.

Personally, I would stay clear for a card of that value. Someone else is probably better qualified to tell you if the card in the photos is real or not but what’s stopping the seller from shipping you something different?

Completely agree, add on the fact that are selling many high end cards, many listed within the last 12 hours. Looking at the buyer feedback, looks like most of them are from buyee, with their typical “product has arrived, thank you…” feedback.

Interesting note, the seller claims to have won their psa 10 victory orb. Suspicious indeed.

Good catch! Yeah, I checked their listing page on Mercari directly and they have a lot of high value trophies or top tier set cards (Gold Star Ray).

I’d steer clear. It’s too good to be true.

Nah, プロフ必須 is requiring you to go read the seller profile: https://jp.mercari.com/user/profile/262096375

Requiring you to leave comment before buying is コメント必須

Katakana is harder than Kanji and nobody can tell me otherwise lol

why risk buying high end singles? $22 booster boxes is the best right now.

Pokemon Halloween Trick or Trade?

Although not technically a box, as the “bundle” comes wrapped in plastic, so I’m completely stumped.

You can get most of the undesirable SV boxes for that price. Also shiny treasure if you buy enough

Shiny treasure is such an easy buy rn imo

It’s one of the most criminally overlooked ultramodern sets. It’s not S-tier, but at a £29 (UK) available price point it’s such cheap fun, even if it isn’t going to be the biggest stonker.

I completely agree. Like sure its no hidden fates, but its certainly worth picking up and enjoying at $50 CAD a box

yes, $19 + shipping.
many resellers are getting stomped right now.
Nintendo is sticking and turning the knife right now . lol

That’s well below distributor pricing. Increased supply aside, it’s crazy how some of these new sets are so unpopular. I wonder if outside of the newest gen being mid the Tera types just aren’t that popular. I don’t see many/anyone really talking about them.
