I think conventional wisdom with boxes is if you wait five years it was worth it to hold anything. Is the the kind of timetable you’re thinking?

Japanese in general is always a good bet, especially when it comes to High Class sets like VSTAR Universe.

Yeah, 5 years is very acceptable to me and I definitely am keeping a very long term strategy in mind. That way if I start now I’ll start accumulating solid returns after years passively, if I keep buying of a product every so often that I think will be worth it.

Just got my Pokemon Center Japan order from Tenso but unfortunately the Illustration Contest Promo Cards were missing – everything else was in there, though (a consolidated box of 4 different orders).

Not that big of a deal since I just bought the set for $15 on eBay… but definitely makes me nervous for any future promos.

A bit of both. Mew ex is my favourite card of the set and its the most expensive one I’m interested in buying atm. From there, you go Lugia ex and Celebi ex in terms of price, and then everything else is closer to $500. I really like Lugia and Celebi as well and I want to get them sooner because they’re already quite expensive lol. A few of the ___'s cards are probably more expensive than say Jirachi ex or Ho-Oh ex (I haven’t actually checked but I’d guess Rayquaza and Mew are pretty up there), but I’m personally shooting for these ex cards first because I prefer them. There’s also a few other cards like Regis, Birds, weather trio ex that I’m not focusing on just yet, but I believe theyre also in that <$500 range.

I gotcha. Yah depending on condition they actually arent too bad! The jirachi and celebi ex are by far my favourite :stuck_out_tongue:
