A lot of speculative assets have been cratering in price recently. Has the Pokemon market been effected at all and do you think it will be?

I don’t think so, no, and probably not since there’s not always any correlation between availability and desirability. That even goes as far as graded cards and their population reports.
If it has been affected via deflation/devaluation then more cards for me 
Just my personal opinion though.

I think it depends what speculative assets you’re talking about. The beauty of something like a graded Pokemon card versus bitcoin, for example, is you actually have a physical item. And what’s more, a lot of them aren’t just cards: they are tied to specific historical events, memories, and exist as smaller parts of the whole (i.e. the entire Pokemon IP). Even if the monetary value assigned by the overall market changes, I will always have a physical card that I want unless I elect to get rid of it. In contrast, as far as I’m concerned, a lot of speculative assets like bitcoin feel like air to me (I recognize it’s not air, it just feels that way).
So TLDR; no, I don’t think Pokemon will see that much of an effect.

I’d like to see the bid history on this one haha. Where did this supposed sale happen? One sold on ZG the day before for 14.4k which I believe was an ATH. The card is clearly moving up but this is just ridiculous. If you’re going to shill at least make it believable..

Normally the authentication program flags things like this but if this is from PSA vault seems like a mistake and would not have an opportunity to be caught…

This happens on Fanatics with Russian cards sometimes, too. I have seen the inverse issue though, a card listed as Russian that is actually English.
