The Giant eBay Garbage Thread

Not sure where to ask. I’ve just received an ETB from a purchase made through eBay international shipping programme (UK->EU). It was described as fully mint, but it arrived damaged with a big ol’ tear spanning half a box.

Seller claims eBay must’ve repackaged the box and for some reason removed the bubble wrap that they used. However, from my experience eBay has always used the seller’s packaging and just slapped a new label on top (which seems to be the case). Could any of you confirm if that’s the case? Does it look like the seller is trying to fleece me?

Whilst they might have packed it poorly its pretty much an open and shut INAD case so they dont have much to gain by not accepting a return if you want one.

Use a hair dryer to gently heat the label and ebay’s label will peel off. The seller’s label may be underneath and if so, proves they’re full of miltank manuer,

But as Woolsluk said,

Oh, the Seller → eBay label is very visible underneath the second label. It barely covers half of it, so I can still see my full name, eBay’s UK address, etc. It definitely was not sent in a different box or anything like that. I just don’t know what the seller wins by trying to weasel their way out of it. It’s just an ETB worth 80 quid…

Anyways, they didn’t accept the INAD and escalated the claim to eBay, so we’ll see how that goes.

That’s annoying. When I buy ese, I’m ok with waiting 29 days past the expected delivery date. They always come.

We all know it came. That’s the point

What on earth is going on with this?

I genuinely don’t understand… Sorry.

The fella has several listings titled “bulk for streaming” and all the cards are worthless to start with.

“Near Mint”

(Already reported, dude has an equally fake Froslass up too.)

Tell our birthday boy to send a screenshot of his ID with his date of birth if he wants a discount

(a buyer actually did this to prove it was their birthday and that I should give them a discount)
