I mean he did give you several minutes in between messages to respond. Plus it’s a highly productive time of day for a seller to be scrolling messages. On you
Marketplace not ebay, but can’t say I’ve had this offer before. For legal reasons can confirm I did not accept
Some people have joined pokemon to get OUT of hard drugs lol
So this guy messaged me on eBay about these 4 raw cards I had and was wanting them for $40 (Had them listed for $50)
I sent an offer for $45, he countered with $41.
I then went to TCG player where this card was selling individually for 14.50 each. So after denying his offer, I raised it to $65.
He then sent another offer at $45…
I declined.
He then sent an offer for $50 (my original asking price no more than 30 minutes prior)
I declined
I then sent him an offer for $60. No response.
Then no more than 20 minutes later I got an email from eBay saying my listing has been flagged for “messaging and attempting to move off platform”
Listing got flagged and I removed it and quickly created another one.
Nice… ![]()
Gotta love the typical $50 pokemon buyer
On two occasions this past November while sellign on FB Marketplace, Ive been offered a 2002 Toyota Solara for a case of XY Evolutions booster boxes and a semi broken OLED Switch for 2 booster boxes of SV base. Its the wild wild west
Welp, to close this saga they sent me different cards than the one I purchased ![]()
Not sure why the seller thought he could get away with this, the fossil dragonite is not even NM ![]()
Also he just found my number through eBay and texted me, which is total freak behavior.
Dang, easy return and refund though
“…but I sent him 3 dragonites and eveyone knows 3 is better than 1.”
Seller immediately accepted the return and now I’m just wondering why they even went through the hassle of knowingly sending me the wrong cards??? All it did was waste my time and cost them money lol.
Plus look 2 of them say Pokemon Go, and we all know that set is in super high demand.
This saga is stressing me out without being involved, so I feel extra sorry that you actually have to deal with it. ![]()
“The guy I hired said people wouldnt care which dragonite card they get, as long as its a dragonite, so I fired him. Anyways, are you fine getting a different dragonite card?”
The lack of self awareness is astonishing
Ive used Ebay a few times and had no issues but god have i heard some crazy horror stories i recently found rare candy and i love it!! ![]()

People don’t typically post the success stories from the other 99% of their ebay transactions. You only see the 1% and as s buyer there is never any risk
Indeed. Some clouds of silver have lead linings, but many have Gold.
People like this are annoying. Insulting a seller for adhering to a policy that they agreed to is so immature.
Hard to make the case that the seller is being petty when the buyer is trying to save $6
