The Giant eBay Garbage Thread

This guy sent multiple messages, finally bought it, then cancelled a couple of hours later. Another reminder that every message is a little red flag

It’s like dating. When they seem super needy or clingy, they’re more likely impulsive and stressful.
:grimacing: But They could also be really nice enthusiastic buyers. :red_gift_envelope: :bangbang:

I always reply that I only do charity for people who really need it. Not for Pokémon cards ‘need’

Huh? Context is that I won an auction for a pretty good price.

Heres my response:

We’ll see what happens!

Tldr: i lied and dont want to refund you, will you take a lesser card?

Yup, but nowhere in his message did they actually say I can’t have the card I won lol. I’ll continue to press them and will update when I hear back.

Update: lots of back and forth of the seller trying to send me another card and me stating that I want the card I purchased. Seller is claiming they will spend $500 to replace the card.

Note that this is a card I bought for $30 and had a max bid of $40 :rofl::rofl:

Yeah, it’s gonna hurt him more. Regardless of outcome, unacceptable. What’s their @?

Forgot all about this debacle of getting a Snorlax costume for my daughter. Lmao I eventually got a refund

I don’t want to put them on blast until the saga is finished, so I’ll hold off for now. I guess they’ll be sending something to me tomorrow morning, so we’ll see what shows up :man_shrugging:t2:

“I have a feeling it’s never enough with you and I’m sorry you feel that way”. “This hurts me much worse trust me”.

Jeez is this a sale transaction or a break-up? Talk about gaslighting

You know how you sometimes get offers for items you’ve put on your watchlist? Giving me an offer of 80 cents off for a 110 USD item, makes me want to remove it from my watchlist entirely, lol…

I thought offers had to be a minimum of 5% off the listing price before they can be sent to watchers?

I wonder if this is an automated thing because sometimes, I’m like. Was that even worth your time? Not worth mine. :unamused:

I’m on fire recently :sob:

Bought a card listed as near mint that showed up with a large crease. After further inspection, I’ll admit that you can see the crease if you zoom into the listing photos. Still was described as near mint and there is no mention of the crease in the listing

Sellers response was that near mint is a subjective term:

In response I sent them eBay’s card condition listing guidelines lol.

This guy thinks that accepting a low offer absolves them of any errors. Please.
BUT You did miss it in the photos, so some responsibility is on you. Still, I think they showed their hand and admitted they screwed up by saying it’s subjective.

The thing is the offer really wasn’t below market price. I don’t think this person even realized that the card isn’t English (it’s Italian).

I feel the same lol I got a 5% off on one recently even though the card was listed at double the last sale and fmv lol
