The Giant Deal Thread

Unless she never wants any money, she will sell some eventually, but yeah I didn’t realize that we could go many years without seeing one.

Curious to know why you decided to sell now?

@kthxbai isn’t @noodles :blush:

Two different people completely.

Rina told me that she doesn’t want to sell or trade anymore due to the fact that people have been reselling for large profits.

Oh my bad, sorry about that. I’m a newb at connecting the ebay accounts with here, some are easy though, like Smpratte and Fourthstar lol, anyone with the same username.

I think its so funny, that she won’t sell, because other people made large profits on the cards, because she controls 90% of the supply, and could make the same amount of money or more than resellers…

Wait he’s THAT Smpratte?!?

LOL can he prove it though? The only way would be to send me all the Trophy cards to confirm its really him

Uh oh… so basically this is my last chance.

You could just build a contraption that attracts pokemon cards only, and take everyone’s entire collection right from their homes :stuck_out_tongue:

In relation to The Art Academy cards, they have not really moved in price/value. The winners simply have to increase their price point, and they will be fine. The graded second hand Art Academy cards don’t sell quickly, if at all for a premium, so it really is a non-issue.

I just find it hilarious that someone refuses to sell, because they think other people will resell for too much profit, when the owner controls 90%. Makes no sense at all, they make a problem that doesn’t even exist, like you said, simply raise the price lol

Personally have 3 of the art academy winners offering me their cards for $300 at the moment (all within the past 2 weeks). I assure you when they need money they will sell, and the art is not very appealing on 95% of the cards.

I also feel like those cards created a problem here once before for almost no reason. have never felt more like people were against eachother here than when people were first hunting those stupid cards

Agreed, I have a few myself and the average selling price is around there. That Gourgeist auction is just going to be too expensive for me, dropping out.

The market reality of Art Academy cards is unfortunate. Having one person own every card who most likely has little to no experience trading, selling, etc. makes attaining them very tedious. Coupled with people who were overly strategic with contact information. I think that process or experience has deterred a lot of people from collecting these cards.

It disappeared… Where oh where could it be :ninja:

Here is a preview of how PWCC auctions could end for PSA 10 Ex Series cards. I’m expecting the same cards auctioned off to earn more on average than these 10’s, but it will still be interesting to see how much less desirable holos will go for

Base set Booster Box Made in UK. This one looks like it was opened then re-sealed?

www.ebay.com/itm/Pokemon-Base-Set-Factory-Sealed-Box-of-36-packs-of-boosters-/232339012675?hash=item36187bfc43:g:FAIAAOSwfRdZHDm1

Wrapping is not in the best shape, but it has the curved icons and looks legit, what is throwing it off as resealed?

This is why we need a video like Rudy did on how to find out if the seal, printed info etc. on WotC and TPCI boxes are real.

I love seeing these cards together: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Pokemon-Charizard-Celebi-Raichu-Japanese-Neo-4-Shining-8-Card-Lot-Set-Psa-10-/371953012623?hash=item569a208f8f:g:xwQAAOSw9OFZG77~

Am I missing something on the box? I would have to say the counterfeit market for MTG is much much larger, and the pokemon sealed counterfeits usually have a great deal of triggers. For instance I saw a Next Destinies box on Ebay selling that had no Pokemon logos on the wrapping, still had 20 people watching it, unreal.

I don’t know. But I guess all rules that apply to spotting fake WotC Magic products apply to WotC Pokemon as well. Since all been printed in same factory and under same conditions. The logo printed foil for Pokemon Base came at the same time as they started doing it for Magic sets.

I agree, the Pokemon market is full with fake product but that product is usually packed in such a way it stands out from real stuff like a sore toe. The Magic market in early days had serious mapping issues and due to this mapping there are resealed products on market.
