巨大的中国市场线索 The Giant Chinese Market Thread

Here is a Mega thread for everything related to Chinese Pokemon cards. There were multiple threads happening at once, so I tried to consolidate everything.

We have the English and Japanese threads. With Chinese having so many exclusives and unique releases, the language deserves it’s own dedicated thread.

This excludes all winner cards right? (I know you excluded trophy cards but just for clarification).

Much thanks for this list. I did not realize than the RMB shares the currency symbol with JPY and I was really confused with the prices since some of the exclusive ones seem very affordable. Had to double check!

Cheers!

Yes, that excludes trophy cards. As for winner cards, it’s a bit of a gray area. For instance, a card like “Royal Mask” is a winner card, but it has dozens of public transactions, so its market price is accurate. On the other hand, some trophy or winner cards have very few transactions, so their price cannot be accurately estimated.

Sorta interesting list.

  • Mew ex: well, I guess we’ll just leave it there. lol
  • The Masked Royal: TBH this price is on the more reasonable side of the list given that it’s limited to 300 copies and is even more limited in other languages. Heard that it’s not easy to get 10 on these though so 10s might go for a much higher price.
  • Pikachus: I personally think seeing pack ARs on a list with such price range only means that the ARs are hyped. (unpopular opinion)
  • Lillie: although trainer bubble is no longer there, don’t think this is going to fell off the list easily as it was released in Sun & Moon era when Shanghai trying to rush through all the releases and therefore may not be able to produce as much copies as current releases. Plus we can see from recent Mega sets that Lillie is still a chase among characters.
  • Iono: Battle Party strikes again. Let’s just wait until Shanghai starts selling the set which (already proven by Mewtube) will crash its price. BTW is the campaign Iono out in market now?
  • Gengar VMAX: kind of reasonable given its limited status (2000 copies in Simplified Chinese) and worldwide popularity. At least more reasonable than the Pikachus.
  • Moonbreon: also looks reasonable when compared to other languages and other cards on the list.
  • Charizard: got on the list for being the rarest (existence-proved,) non-trophy card in the language (100 copies).

Gengarchu has seen a steady drop since release, peaking at around 4.8-5k in PSA 10 and now auctioning for around 3k. Mew ex 1510 PSA 10 had been holding at 15k but with the amount of publicity the BL sale got it will likely go up to to around 17-20k in PSA 10.

Gem Pack 2 has been dropping for a good bit of time, definetly think its a better time to buy now than later.

Thank you Chinese market for letting me buy SM alt arts in 2025 without going broke. Very cool.

I was more talking about the cards but that works also.

I could definitely be wrong, but my intuition has told me those AR cards have the weakest staying power in the market… how is it any different than japanese or english ARs?

it’s funny how cheap this card is compared to english… Trying to pull Aerodactyl back then was one of the best Lost Origin memories.
