Ever get that nostalgic feeling where you feel a little bit closer to your collection?
Fall months are nostalgic to me for some reason. Gets dark earlier, leaves changing, and I find comfort having some cards around. Definitely been nostalgic this past week
When do you feel most nostalgic?
I definitely feel that this time of year too. I spend less time outside, which essentially translates to more time sorting and looking through my collection.
I love as we get closer to the holidays too, the hobby really picks up. Between more activity in the market and secret Santa it’s just never a dull moment.
Yes, 100%. Usually late at night, or during a period where I have a lot of free time, but if we’re talking time of year then probably winter.
I’ve been collecting again for a year now today! So yes I’ve been steadily building my collection on the way. It brings me more joy then i can ever possibly attempt to put into words. Wether it’s a binder set or graded set. When I finish all the Holo’s I get so happy! I get even more joy when I finish a era. Like when I finished my Black and White Full Art Collection!

I wouldnt say i grow closer to my collection during this time of year, but i sure as hell get super grateful and very reflective around this time.
November for me always marks my “birthday” in recovery from addiction, so the times leading to then, and the holidays after, always have me feeling warm inside seeing how far ive come. This of course also spills heavily into feeling super thankful and just blessed to have achieved and collected, but mostly the joy in just being alive is what drives it all.
Sounds kinda cheesy of course to put it in such terms, but its truly a wonderful time of year that really humbles me greatly and never fails to put a smile on my face. Couldnt be happier to be here and have what i do today
Yeah to be honest, sometimes when I’m done, I’ll scroll through my blastoise IG to look at each card. The artwork of the base set blastoise always gets me because I remember pulling one as a kid, which I’ve kept till now.
