This is not a bug and it does not happen when the OP is updated unless the OP is the only post
Ah okay. I assumed it was when I edited the OP but it must have been bumped when I fixed a typo in the latest post.
It’s a rather minor bug, and might be just something from Discourse itself instead of specifically here on the forum. But I’ve noticed that after I use the Ask AI Translate option, and then I’d either click on Cancel or outside the translation box, I’m unable to (un)like a post afterwards. I’ve attached a gif below to illustrate this:

You can’t really see it of course, but I’ve clicked the heart-icon three times to try and unlike it after the translation, but it doesn’t work.
(I’m on my Windows 10 PC using the latest Google Chrome.)
(PS: Sorry @SeasidePokemon if you kept getting Like notifications. I’ve abused your post to illustrate this bug.
)
Greetz,
Quuador
I’ve reported the bug to Discourse
Is this a new feature, because I can’t seem to find this option when I’m highlighting Japanese text? ![]()
It would make it so much easier for me to read through the Champion Road 2000 trophy cards thread!
It is because the AI components incur a real cost every time they are used so I have most of the features limited to staff until I figure out the best way to make it available to everyone
Got it, thanks for the reply!
I’ll go back to using Google Translate… ![]()
If you’re on mobile you can set up Google translate to work when you highlight text
(Well I know it works on android at least)
I didn’t know that was possible! Thank you, PFM!
You can use it, we’re talking about pennies or less per use. I’m more concerned about how it scales. If 100 people used it in that thread we go from pennies to dollars ![]()
No worries @Quuador ![]()
And sorry @pfm, I thought I was helping by pre translating my post to Japanese. I don’t mind flipping it back to English so less people will use the translate feature.
This feel like a you problem. Is it repeatable? Same ones every time?
Happens with some users, like the one above and Vertemes. It’s persistent, whatever they should be always fail the same way.
Using iOS Chrome.
Ok I get something similar happening (images just not showing up at all) so it might be something I do have to fix
I think it happens when they mess up their sprite text:
.pokesprite.pokemon.aaabbbccc
such as:
.pokesprite.pokemon. aaabbbccc
which I did just now vvv
Interesting, seems for IOS the broken link will show a “?” image but on windows it shows this:
