Sooo Close to Complete 1st Edition Base

I started the 1st Edition Base set three years ago. I hit a collector bump so left the hobby for 2 years after I wasn’t getting anywhere with the last five cards I needed. Got an email from PSA late last year that some cards I was missing were in the December PWCC Auction where prices went nuts. Amazed the Charizard that I bought for $5300 from PWCC was now going for $20K!! That peeked my collector interests and I’ve been kinda on a buying spree ever since.

Cards from 1st Base I picked up this year was

  • Wartortle
  • Lass
  • Devolution Spray
  • Zapdos

Now the wait to find a reasonably priced Hitmonchan begins. It may take several years, but it’s a set three years on the making so a couple more won’t’ hurt! :blush:

PSA 10 Hitmonchan? Woof those are expensive.

You didn’t specify if you wanted graded or ungraded. I’ve got a ungraded 1st ed Hitmonchan. It was mint in a old MAP slab. When I took it out to send to PSA I scratched the front near the attack words. Picture is superb and so is the back. I doubt you’re interested in it.

It’s the official PSA App. Very useful for keeping track of what set cards you own.
