Yes I fully agree that smpratte’s collection is the greatest collection in the world. Among the collections that have been shown. But what about collections that are normally not shown here? How about Mr Persin who is rumored to have accumulated a sizable number of trophy cards? How about Jimmy Hume’s collection? Any other contenders? Smpratte, you know many collectors and what they have. Who has the best collection in the world at the moment?
Jimmy Humes is dense, I have pictures of his collection, he has the no 2,3 tmb eggs. 4 snap prize cards. A few other promos and all of the set cards (base,jungle,etc.).
I don’t know though, I have some new cards that add to the collection, but I would say mine since persin’s is english only and english cards are much more limited than japanese as far as collecting goes.
Persin has Japanese cards? No. I think he’s said himself he doesn’t want to get sucked into looking for and getting into trophy cards. Its a shame (I mean with his money who knows what he can achieve) but fair play to him.
Scott for best collection hands down. viper.fox second?
OK question: top 5 collections out there. Who gets on that list?
Yeah persin definitely doesn’t collect japanese. I have tried to get him to for a long time but he just doesn’t want to.
I would say Jimmy hume is second, Claire’s collection is awsome and right there a solid 3rd. The only reason I would put jimmy above is because I know majority of his collection, I am not really sure of claire’s full collection. Once it gets to the high end it is basically about which prize/promo cards the collector has, or unique ones of that rarity outside of set cards.
I know Jimmy has that pokedude/pokefan card from 2004 that I don’t know anyone else with. He had one for sale but I didn’t buy it, mistake ![]()
And the Snap cards too. Yeah, OK, Jimmy second…
Why is he not on this site?
I don’t know I never really asked ![]()
Get him on this site ![]()
Ok so I have a couple cards that I wanted to put on here as an update.
Here are the links to the new one’s ![]()

Sweet.
Weren’t you selling that No. 2 trainer? Or was that the e-era version?
No this one has the old card style, the one I have up on ebay is the e-card style since I already have that one in my collection.
Wow, congrats! Very nice find, this No.2 Trainer. Which year is it from? 2000, 2001 or 2002?
The 2007 Champions League promo is also great. How many cards are in existence? Poke-geri says 4:
pokegym.net/gallery/showimage.php?i=34061&c=173
But in some earlier auction promosen said 12, 4 winners from 3 classes. Any views on this? And what happened to the Champions League tournament after 2007? Was it discontinued? And if so, why?
I think its official that you have too many trophy cards
(how do you have duplicates?!?!)
haha well I bought the no 2 battle roads together in a package deal. the lady wanted both to go to the same place, but I am just trying to sell the other to make back some money. But you can never have too many trophies

Oh and daria it is from 2001 I believe. It has the old card style that ran to 02 before the e-card switch. I have the 2002 set with the e-card illiustration.
Also I do not know for sure about the champions league. I know it was only given to the 1st place winner of the tournament. I know it is way less than the miracle diamond and mysterious pearl, but I have seen 3 total: this one, brianjapan’s and japjun’s. Japjun’s sold for $2,500 on march 11.
How do you have 4 winners from three classes? There’s a lot I don’t know about the 2007 Champions League. Anyone got any details?
It is a gorgeous looking card so congrats on adding that to your list Scott
Your Champions League card is different from brian’s and japjun’s. Yours is a Stadium card with copyright 2007. Theirs are Trainer cards with copyright 2005. You can see the 2005 copyright if you enlarge japjun’s picture.
brian’s:

japjun’s:

Bulbapedia shows both cards on the same page. But their article is utterly confusing.
bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Champion%27s_League_(Champion%27s_League_promo)
The distribution mechanism remains elusive. Who got which card (Stadium vs Trainer) and when? How many copies of each card?
Oh sorry yeah the new one is different. I was confused which one you were referring to. The one I just got is definitely the rarest (in comparison to the one that brian has up). I have been trying to track it down for years and have seen one other besides this one. I really don’t have any information on it ![]()
Yeah, hence my request for info. Oh well, seems like yet anorher card we know nothing about…
Perhaps each of the top 4 players from three age classes got a winner’s card. 4x3=12.
Ok now I am confused again. I think that was in reference to me mistakingly stating the information about the card brian has up currently:
I think the number is extremely low on the champions league I recently acquired. I do not have any information on it but do not see copies of it ever. The only one I have seen is that one on the gym. I remember Promosen had it a long time ago and wanted 4,000 pounds or some huge sum. I am sure the one pictured on the gym is promosen’s that is where pokegeri got most of those photos.
Wow. some great additions to an already great collection…
