This looks amazing! Love this idea!
Do you lock the pictures in place with tape or something?
No tape needed, I just print out a card-size (or two card size) image and cut it out, and put it inside the binder slots. For the double width ones you kinda have to bend it to shove it in there
Kagawa Pokemon Center & Jeju Island Event Update
I am so excited to share this update, since my latest shipment finally came in from Japan. Last month was a fantastic month for Slowpoke fans. There was a lot of new exclusive merch from the opening of the Kagawa Pokemon Center as well as the Jeju Island event in Korea.
Kagawa Pokemon Center – Opened October 24, 2025
The Kagawa Pokemon Center is a new Pokemon Center in Kagawa, Japan, with Slowpoke as its mascot! The prefecture is known for its Udon, and Slowpoke’s Japanese name is “Yadon” which sounds a lot like “Udon”. Slowpoke has been the mascot for Kagawa Prefecture for a long time (you may have heard of the famous “Slowpoke Hotels”) but the Pokemon Center newly opened last month!
Along with the Pokemon Center opening, they released lots of fantastic Slowpoke merchandise and items. First, we have a flyer that was distributed for the opening, with a Slowpoke origami on the front and info about Kagawa’s Slowpoke mascot on the back!
Next, a number of items that were distributed to guests. The three rectangles are actually sets of tissues. The Slowpoke Pokemon ZA ticket has a special code, and was given out to people who yawn to the staff. The two stickers are distributed to people who yawn, but only when it’s raining (one says “Careful of rain!” and one says “It is raining – Slowpoke is yawning!”). I laugh at the idea of some people going up and yawning at the staff just to resell me these stickers on Mercari Japan.
Next we have exclusive merch with the new designs for Kagawa. I picked up a few items I particularly liked: a clear file, deck box, and card sleeves with the Kagawa artwork.
I also picked up these tchotchkes: stickers, a pin, a rotating Slowpoke Well keychain where if you spin the bottom the Slowpoke moves up and down, and a set of keychains.
Finally: these two Pikachu plushies! I collect location-exclusive Pikachu plushies, so of course I had to pick up these two featuring Slowpoke. If you look closely at the Pikachu on the right, it has little Slowpokes on its shirt as well as in the Udon noodles ![]()
Jeju Island event – October 2 – 26
Pokemon hosted an event on Jeju Island in Korea called “Wonder Island” with a stamp rally, exclusive merch, and gardens full of Pokemon! To read more about this awesome event, check out @goonhoon 's writeup here: Korean Promo Cards Database - #10 by goonhoon
One of the mascots for the event was a Slowpoke dressed as a Haenyo, the female divers of South Korea. I picked up a few items, including this little mini Slowpoke plush with the most beautiful tag I’ve ever seen.
I am also in love with this pin featuring Slowpoke and Squirtle, where if you turn the front of the pin it turns from day to night. And the packaging is absolutely beautiful too.
The final item, and maybe my favorite, is the postcard set. It’s packaged inside of a book with the most beautiful artwork on the front and back covers.
And of course, my favorite postcard of all! Thanks for reading!
Wow, amazing haul! Thank you for the writeups as well. I really like the concept of the pin but damn!, that postcard set is gorgeous and also my favorite from your pickups! There are so many amazing postcards in there. Congratulations on all of the pickups and thanks for sharing.
Cheers!
Thank you mrbubbles, I’m glad to know you love the postcard set as much as I do!
These items are all so cool. I wish I’d picked up one of the event slowpoke for ZA. Also I really enjoyed solo leveling and saw the Jeju island merch and was like “damn slowpoke is a terrible counter to bugs”
I definitely had to look up solo leveling to understand this comment
yes, I don’t think scuba slowpoke would be very effective in combat
Great haul! The Pokemon Center merch looks great, but dang, that postcard set is so good! I also spot a Hoppip and Skiploom, so I’ll probably be purchasing at least that postcard sometime
Love the rotating pin too—such a neat concept.
Thanks for sharing!
Wow! That is just a great set. The pin is adorable. I agree though the post card set is next level. What a great addition to your collection
I thought the slowpoke post card was peak merch until i saw the plush,i love him and you have to protect him at all costs
Large EU shipment, +181 Slows!
Today I received months worth of European Slows from my EU middleman.
It was a fabulous day for updating my Spreadsheet tracker ![]()
Before (812 Slows, 63.69% complete)
After (993 Slows, 77.88% complete)
Completed All-language Sets: Fossil, Neo Destiny, Aqua vs. Magma
I’m very proud to share that I’ve completed my first three sets in all languages since branching out from English & Japanese only! After months of collecting bits and pieces, it’s really satisfying to start seeing things coming together and sub-goals completed.
Fossil
Forgive the Legendary collection & Team Rocket cards in there, it’s a side effect of how I have my binder organized. By far the hardest cards to find for this set were Dutch Unlimited, still feel very lucky that I actually got them ![]()
Neo Destiny
I’m very happy to be done with this one, the French and German 1eds in particular were a pain to find. I also absolutely love how these two binder pages look, and Komiya is one of my favorite artists, so this part of the collection is special!
Team Magma vs. Aqua
This one is a little easier to complete since it’s just Slowpoke, and not too many languages. We love Sugimori art photoshopped into the ocean ![]()
Thanks for reading!
Big congrats on your progress! It’s really nice to see all the languages put together. I also love the michi method for the Komiya and Sugimori art you used on the page, great spacers and a nice way to highlight the artwork. Looking forward to more updates, and again, congrats!
Cheers,
Adhi
What a haul! And to have an almost 15% increase with this many cards in one go is very impressive and satisfying to see.
Also big congrats on completing your first three sets across all languages. ![]()
And I indeed love the Michi method you’ve used for the Neo Destiny and EX Team Magma vs Team Aqua sets, especially the loose single-card additions you’ve added to complement the 1x2 artworks.
Greetz,
Quuador
That is one massive slow haul! So exciting to see the progress. Congratulations. I really love how you do your binder pages they look great.
What an insanely amazing haul. Adding close to 180 extra cards is really impressive. Congratulations on finishing few of the sets in all languages and the binders look super as always. Thanks for sharing the update.
Cheers!
This is just massive, big congrats on your haul! Mail days like this are something i envy from species collectors that go for all languages😄
Thank you for reading and for the kind replies @joponnes, @mrbubbles, @niece, @Quuador, and @tinyroadadhi. The only thing more fun than opening this haul is sharing it with the community!
Today I received a package 6 months in the making. From China, to France, to a different part of France, joining up with cards from yet a third part of France, to the US, to my apartment building. So many different people played a hand in today’s package, this collection update couldn’t have happened without their help! A few of them are: @PokerRageAH @Maplesss and my French PokePals Fushi and PokeYog, not sure if they are on E4.
I was refreshing the tracking all day. Finally, Poker let me know it was time.
I put on my Slowqueen hat by @HaiRai and got to work.
The first portion of this package is a massive Traditional and Simplified Chinese Slow Haul from Sylv aka @Maplesss.
If there was any doubt that Sylv is the best: this is every single Chinese Slow variant that I was missing except one card, which he also found and will be making its way to me in another package. Yes, that includes all of SCB and three different Start Deck 100 decks.
The second portion of the package is an awesome compilation of (mostly) French slows from Fushi and PokeYog. A few months ago, Fushi reached out to do a trade for some French cards he had. It’s been in the works for a long time! Separately, PokeYog had the 1st ed Neo French Slowking that I was missing, and he offered to sell it to me. Even better, it was a card from his childhood, and he knew it would find a good home in my binder.
Fushi and PokeYog coordinated to get my cards to Fushi in France. Separately, Sylv and Fushi coordinated to send my cards to him as well via yet another species collector. Getting confused yet?
because then they got sent to yet another species collector in the US, who sent them to me.
There were also a bunch of non-TCG slows and extra cards in there which was very appreciated. Thank you guys!
Progress: +85 Slows / +6.67% of Slows
Finally, I was able to start putting things in the binder! Here is my tracker before:
And here it is after all today’s pickups.
- +6.67% of all global slows
- +85 cards
- 100% complete S-Chinese
- 98% complete T-Chinese (just one more and it’s on the way!)
Completed All-Language Artworks
Several huge goals were achieved through this. First of all, I am incredibly happy about this progress on my Chinese cards thanks to @Maplesss .
![]()
And also very excitingly, I finished some all-language art sets! Well, at least until another 151 promo comes out. That’s right, I’ve completed 151 in all languages!
And finally, just wow, I love staring at this page. That vintage cosmos holo is amazing. Huge goal achieved: Complete all-language Neo Genesis Slowking. And PokeYog’s childhood Slowking was the last missing piece.
Thank you again to my friends for helping out with this package, it was an incredible treat to receive and I’m over the moon to have the cards in hand! Plus, I got some great signatures out of it.
P.S. Secret Santa
Also: Secret Santa happened. I was thoroughly delighted by my gift from @Dyl, I shared the whole gift here. I wanted to catalog some of the Slow highlights here as well!
First, we have this beautiful creature which has a permanent home on my shelf.
And second, this awesome CD of the Yadon Song. I don’t have a CD player so I just listen to the song on YouTube and stare at the lovely packaging ![]()
Thank you all for an amazing end to 2025 and start to 2026! Excited for more Slows to come.
