Slowqueen's Slowpokes, Slowbros, and Slowkings (Update: Pokemon Pad and more!)

Large EU shipment, +181 Slows!

Today I received months worth of European Slows from my EU middleman.

It was a fabulous day for updating my Spreadsheet tracker

Before (812 Slows, 63.69% complete)

After (993 Slows, 77.88% complete)

Completed All-language Sets: Fossil, Neo Destiny, Aqua vs. Magma

I’m very proud to share that I’ve completed my first three sets in all languages since branching out from English & Japanese only! After months of collecting bits and pieces, it’s really satisfying to start seeing things coming together and sub-goals completed.

Fossil
Forgive the Legendary collection & Team Rocket cards in there, it’s a side effect of how I have my binder organized. By far the hardest cards to find for this set were Dutch Unlimited, still feel very lucky that I actually got them

Neo Destiny
I’m very happy to be done with this one, the French and German 1eds in particular were a pain to find. I also absolutely love how these two binder pages look, and Komiya is one of my favorite artists, so this part of the collection is special!

Team Magma vs. Aqua

This one is a little easier to complete since it’s just Slowpoke, and not too many languages. We love Sugimori art photoshopped into the ocean :joy:

Thanks for reading!

Big congrats on your progress! It’s really nice to see all the languages put together. I also love the michi method for the Komiya and Sugimori art you used on the page, great spacers and a nice way to highlight the artwork. Looking forward to more updates, and again, congrats!

Cheers,
Adhi

What a haul! And to have an almost 15% increase with this many cards in one go is very impressive and satisfying to see.

Also big congrats on completing your first three sets across all languages.

And I indeed love the Michi method you’ve used for the Neo Destiny and EX Team Magma vs Team Aqua sets, especially the loose single-card additions you’ve added to complement the 1x2 artworks.

Today I received a package 6 months in the making. From China, to France, to a different part of France, joining up with cards from yet a third part of France, to the US, to my apartment building. So many different people played a hand in today’s package, this collection update couldn’t have happened without their help! A few of them are: @PokerRageAH @Maplesss and my French PokePals Fushi and PokeYog, not sure if they are on E4.

I was refreshing the tracking all day. Finally, Poker let me know it was time.

I put on my Slowqueen hat by @HaiRai and got to work.

The first portion of this package is a massive Traditional and Simplified Chinese Slow Haul from Sylv aka @Maplesss.

If there was any doubt that Sylv is the best: this is every single Chinese Slow variant that I was missing except one card, which he also found and will be making its way to me in another package. Yes, that includes all of SCB and three different Start Deck 100 decks.

The second portion of the package is an awesome compilation of (mostly) French slows from Fushi and PokeYog. A few months ago, Fushi reached out to do a trade for some French cards he had. It’s been in the works for a long time! Separately, PokeYog had the 1st ed Neo French Slowking that I was missing, and he offered to sell it to me. Even better, it was a card from his childhood, and he knew it would find a good home in my binder.

Fushi and PokeYog coordinated to get my cards to Fushi in France. Separately, Sylv and Fushi coordinated to send my cards to him as well via yet another species collector. Getting confused yet? because then they got sent to yet another species collector in the US, who sent them to me.

There were also a bunch of non-TCG slows and extra cards in there which was very appreciated. Thank you guys!

Progress: +85 Slows / +6.67% of Slows

Finally, I was able to start putting things in the binder! Here is my tracker before:

And here it is after all today’s pickups.

  • +6.67% of all global slows
  • +85 cards
  • 100% complete S-Chinese
  • 98% complete T-Chinese (just one more and it’s on the way!)

Completed All-Language Artworks

Several huge goals were achieved through this. First of all, I am incredibly happy about this progress on my Chinese cards thanks to @Maplesss .

And also very excitingly, I finished some all-language art sets! Well, at least until another 151 promo comes out. That’s right, I’ve completed 151 in all languages!

And finally, just wow, I love staring at this page. That vintage cosmos holo is amazing. Huge goal achieved: Complete all-language Neo Genesis Slowking. And PokeYog’s childhood Slowking was the last missing piece.

Thank you again to my friends for helping out with this package, it was an incredible treat to receive and I’m over the moon to have the cards in hand! Plus, I got some great signatures out of it.

P.S. Secret Santa

Also: Secret Santa happened. I was thoroughly delighted by my gift from @Dyl, I shared the whole gift here. I wanted to catalog some of the Slow highlights here as well!

First, we have this beautiful creature which has a permanent home on my shelf.

And second, this awesome CD of the Yadon Song. I don’t have a CD player so I just listen to the song on YouTube and stare at the lovely packaging

Thank you all for an amazing end to 2025 and start to 2026! Excited for more Slows to come.

Wow, what an insane update. It is amazing to also see the community and relationships built within the hobby and how important they can be to be able to achieve this. Kudos to all the lovely people who helped you. This is a truly great update and we have just begun the year, since 85 new cards adds a huge dent in our goal to 98% completion. Congratulations and thanks for sharing.

Cheers!

A smaller update today in terms of card quantity, but nonetheless a very significant one!

As many species collectors know, randomized start decks can be some of the hardest cards to track down in other languages. Many Asian languages have a version of this product where the odds of getting the cards you need are 1 in 9, 1 in 18, or in the case of Start Deck 100, 1 in 101. Furthermore, a lot of sellers don’t list their bulk, so messaging a bunch of random sellers and asking if they have the specific set code you need gets old very quickly.

To start, I searched every Slowpoke/Slowbro card on every Korean website that I can actually see the listings for. I was able to find my RHs and my V/Vmax this way, but could not find the nonholos anywhere, nor the numbered deck they came in (deck 079). I also messaged every Korean eBay seller I could find, posted all over my Instagram story, posted on Korean Facebook groups, asked everyone I could think to ask… and nothing.

After a few months of this, I reached out to chocodedenne on Instagram. They offered to put up a buy post for the specific numbered deck I needed. Remarkably, someone actually had the entire deck! Huge thanks to them for being so helpful, I have absolutely no idea how would’ve been able to find these cards otherwise.

Anyway, here they are! My Korean Start Deck 100 nonholos:

I can’t express how good this feels to see in my spreadsheet:

Just caught up with your updates! Always great to see the crazy amount of slows in your packages from abroad (the 180-card update some months back is insane!). Also great to see how much help you get from fellow collectors and other nice sellers :slightly_smiling_face:

Thanks for sharing your progress with us!

Thank you @bbobrob, my favorite part about building this collection has been the connections I’ve made with folks all around the world

A big Thai order came in today, it’s been many months in the making! Super super happy to be so close to completing my Thai language set. I don’t think the person who helped me is on E4 but thank you very much Gwen and thank you @dylancollectsglaceon for your help tracking down the gym promo

Thai Gym Promo

The Slowpoke Gym promo in Thai was not anywhere on any marketplace I could find. I spent weeks looking intensely for this card. Then one day I get a DM:

Turns out @dylancollectsglaceon managed to spot a copy on a Thai Pokemon marketplace page! We coordinated with our friend in Thailand to get the card ordered, and it’s now in my possession. This was back in July of last year, so it’s been a long time to anticipate holding this in my hands :joy:

One really cool thing about this promo is that actually, the stamp is in slightly (sometimes very) different places for each language. Japanese, Indonesian, and Thai all got gym promo cards, Korea got an unstamped promo, and Traditional Chinese had a regular set card.

+4 Deck Cards

If we’ve talked about species collecting in the past several months, you’ll know all about my struggles with random deck cards. Well, Thai deck cards are no exceptions. After gambling on several boxes of AS1D, I still had yet to pull the Slowpoke line. And there were no SCB decks to be found.

It was a bit tough since the cards aren’t very expensive so really no one cares to look for them or list them online. Finally, after lots of random unsuccessful DMs, someone wound up having four out of the five deck cards I needed! I coordinated to get these sent to my friend in Thailand.

These are the cards where I explain “this card looks exactly like the one next to it, but took me months and many headaches to find”

Finally, a shameless plug for my last missing Thai deck card, the Galarian Slowbro from SCB. Still on the lookout for this, please let me know if you see one or know anyone with Thai bulk I could ask!

+20 cards, +1.57% of Slows

Here’s my collection tracker after today. So happy to see that Thai progress bar fill in!
