Thanks so much @Dyl and @AuraBea I appreciate the kind words!
love these!! what a delight, that feeling of following through on a project and a plan is the best ![]()
Nice! The Mega Slowbro turned out great as well. Love seeing them all four together like that. ![]()
And I agree with @Dyl, sometimes i wish I was this talented when it comes to art.
Out of curiosity: do you have a plan on displaying them somehow, since it would be a shame to just put them back on the shelves, only showcasing the unpainted sides of the binder the majority of the time. On the other hand, pulling them out and looking at your cover artworks only from time to time does make it extra special, kinda like the feeling when browsing through a binder full of cards from time to time, I guess.

Greetz,
Quuador
@crindy thanks so much for following along, I love your binder art as well!
@Quuador Thanks so much, it’s really fun to see the set all finished
I’d love more display space for my Slow collection, but currently I’m pretty space-limited in my apartment. So for now, they’ll live on the same shelf as before. I think you’re spot on with the joy of seeing them infrequently as opposed to having them always visible, similar to the experience of browsing through the collection inside. But maybe one day when I have more space and upgrade my Slow display, I’ll be able to showcase them better ![]()
These look incredible! Well done!
Really gorgeous! Stellar work in painting your binders. These are really well done. I like the brighter color of the slow line and it goes very well with the binder colour. Mega Slowbro is definitely my favorite. Thanks a lot for showcasing and sharing these.
Cheers!
Thank you so much @mrbubbles and @tcgmaine for the kind words, I really appreciate it ![]()
Goodness me, these artworks on the binder is absolutely beautiful <3
A mishmash of various updates today, many of which are thanks to some wonderful E4 community members!
100% Indonesian - Last card arrived
I’m officially caught up with Indonesian cards, at least until the new Slowpoke & Mega Slowbro gym promos likely release ![]()
The only card I was missing in Indonesian was this Galarian Slowking V alt art. A couple of sellers quoted me outrageously high prices for this card, so I decided to bide my time until a better opportunity arose. Thankfully @cryingatnight set up an Indonesian order and I was able to find this card on Tokopedia and slide it into the order. Thanks for the help Eric!
Swiss-exclusive German McDonald’s

I did not know this, but apparently the 2018 International McDonald’s set was not released in Germany. It turns out the German cards from that set were only released in Switzerland. I learned this because I was ordering some cards on CardMarket, and I couldn’t find the German one for this anywhere, whereas the other languages were pretty readily available.
I was able to find a listing on a Swiss website called Ricardo, and the wonderful @WailordEnthusiast provided an assist for getting the card to me in the United States. Thank you very much for the help ![]()
New Japanese Gym Promos
Finally, we got some love for Mega Slowbro! I’m super happy to have gotten these promos from Japan, the new Slowpoke art is just fantastic. The new Mega Slowbro looks really cool in person with the wiggly blob texture. Excited for more languages soon ![]()
Amazing shipment from Orannge
I was fortunate to participate in Orannge’s trade thread. He sent so much awesome stuff it made my head spin. I think my favorite was the Sealdass ghost-type sticker that I’ve been idly wanting for a while, but there’s lots of other great non-tcg stuff here as well. He even included a Pokemon Channel video game with Slowpoke on the cover, which is just too cool! Thank you very much @orannge ![]()
Korean Shipment
Got a delivery today with 6 Korean cards, a small but very important addition to my collection! This order contained three of my remaining Korean reverse holos, which have been a bit tricky to track down.
I’m now at 96.97% for Korean, and 88.52% overall ![]()
Slowqueen makes me realize theres levels to this
Slowpoke Cameo Poke Pad
You’ve heard of Poke Pads, but maybe not like this! ![]()
Recently, Pokemon collaborated with the Japanese brand Plaza to create special Pokemon sanitary pads. The Week seeks to destigmatize menstrual products by making them cute and fun. Personally, I think they did a great job!
These pads were never for sale, they were given out by Plaza via lottery and at various participating schools. Ever since I found out about these and saw they featured Slowpoke, I’ve been looking for one. Fortunately someone on Mercari Japan listed these for sale recently, remarking they hoped it could go to a “Pokemon-loving woman”. Well it certainly did!
I must say I’m also very excited to have a species collection item to rival @Quuador’s Seviper underpants.
SWSH Start Deck 100
Very happy to be finally complete with SWSH Start Deck 100. This set was a huge pain to complete, given that out of 101 decks, three of them feature different Slow card variations, for a total of 7 variants in each of 4 languages. I’m grateful for the help of many folks and especially @Maplesss for helping with Traditional and Simplified Chinese. This also means I’m entirely caught up with Chinese (aside from the two new Gym promos, which are currently with Sylv).
Korean Tag Teams
A big thank you to @Spia for your help getting this last rainbow Korean tag team! This one was oddly difficult to track down and I very much appreciate your help. I’m now only missing one Korean card and it’s currently on the way to @citriina, so hopefully I’ll be able to share a complete Korean collection very soon!
Odds and ends from Japan
Since I was already ordering the Poke Pad on Mercari, I decided to throw in a couple bonus non-TCG items.
First is this cool Pokemon Sleep paper charm from FamilyMart:
And I also got this fun peel-off Slowpoke Marumiya seal:
TCG Collection Tracker Update
I’m at 88% overall, with a huge EU order coming in shortly!
Was about to bring that up if you didn’t do that already yourself haha. Congrats on completing Start Deck 100 too!
Congrats on completing all the deck variants, since I know you’ve been searching for that last Galarian Slowbro for a while. And also congrats on almost completing the Korean language, I’m looking forward to the update of the remaining card to make it 100%.
And lol at the Seviper underwear. We can combine my female Seviper underwear with your pad. Now who has the Pokémon bra, skirt, and female tank-top to complete the outfit? ![]()
Greetz,
Quuador
Thanks very much! Unfortunately the Thai deck Galarian Slowbro I’m missing is from SCB, so still on the lookout for that one. But it is a huge relief having everything from Start Deck 100 completed ![]()
And haha, I love it, combining your female Seviper underwear with my Slowpoke pad we have the ultimate Pokemon merch ![]()
The poke pad might just be the coolest item you own hands down. Sorry Korean colouring book Slowpoke ![]()
Lost of cool additions today!!! Congrats on completing SWSH SD 100! Thats a big mission
Ah wait, that’s a different deck indeed. My bad. I got confused, since it’s the same artwork. ![]()
I hope you’ll find that Thai SCB Galarian Slowbro soon then!
I keep my eyes open, but apart from eBay and OjamaCard, I don’t have much sources for Thai cards unfortunately. And that webshop mostly sells set cards, and not much of the decks, which is also why those dang deck cards are so annoying to find..
But if I somehow come across it anywhere, you’ll be the first to know.
Greetz,
Quuador
What in the world are you going to do when you get to 100% of everything? Go for a run? ![]()
Great question. Maybe I’ll go outside
Massive Slow Haul (Slaul) from Japan Trip!
Hi everyone! I just got back from Japan and I had an amazing time shopping for Slowpoke stuff while I was there. We went to Kagawa which is the slowpoke prefecture and there was so much Slowpoke themed stuff! I’m going to go through the different parts of the Slow Haul aka the SLAUL!
Before I start, I’d like to give an extra huge shoutout to my husband aka slowhusband aka slusband for touring all around looking for Slowpokes with me and packing it all so nicely into one suitcase (sluitcase) and lugging it all around Japan for me

Exploring Kagawa aka Slowpoke Prefecture
A highlight of our trip was staying in the Slowpoke Hotel in Kagawa, aka Slowpoke Prefecture. Specifically, we stayed in the Slowpoke room at the Shodoshima International Hotel. It was otherwise quite a normal Japanese hotel aside from this one room, so I got a lot of chances to practice my Japanese with the staff and with other guests!
Kagawa is known for its Udon, and Udon sounds like Yadon (the Japanese name for Slowpoke), so Kagawa has partnered with Pokemon to make Yadon its mascot. Here’s a few more Slowpoke highlights from exploring Kagawa, including the Kagawa Pokemon center!
Kagawa Slowpickups
As you might have guessed, I bought a lot of stuff in Kagawa ![]()
From the Kagawa Pokemon Center, I got some awesome items featuring the original artwork by Hyogonosuke. There’s also a mural of it in the Pokemon Center! I also picked up some stickers, figures, and clear files from nearby tourist shops that had Slowpoke sections. The items on the right weren’t from the Pokemon Center, which goes to show you how much Yadon has found his way into the local tourism industry!
Slowfood
One unexpected thing I bought a lot of in Kagawa was Slowpoke themed food! They had custom Slowpoke udon noodles, rice, sauce, candies, crackers, cookies, and more. The packaging is so adorable I’m afraid to open some of them! I’m planning to eat some of these and preserve the packaging, and maybe keep some uneaten depending on how gross they might or might not get ![]()
Slowplushies
There are sooo many good Slow plushies that I’d never gotten because they’d be too hard to ship. Really happy to have come across these on my trip! The two on the right are Kagawa exclusives, and the one in the back is a hat!
Slowfigures
I haven’t previously collected many figurines, mostly because they can be difficult to ship and require more display space than I really have at home. But I fell in love with all these guys! A few of them are from the Pokemon Cnter, and the rest are from Nakano Broadway which is an amazingly densely packed nerd heaven in Tokyo.
… And the rest
A few more miscellaneous pickups - slowbags, slowtowels, luggage tags, keychains, and what not.
The winner: the Sloutfit
I am beyond psyched they had one of these in stock at the Pokemon Center in Kanazawa, I didn’t even know this existed. If you catch me wearing this at the next E4 meetup at Pokemon Worlds, please come say hello! ![]()
