The lowest prices listed by winners are around 16,500 rmb, which is around 2250 usd at the moment.
No one will sell at the same price outside the country for the same price in the country. In my experiences with couriers (USA, Europe) in China you have the best service. Immediate support, you don’t have to open tickets, wait days etc, you can even contact the courier himself (his phone number is provided in the tracking number) so selling in China is much safer. The only reason why one would sell it abroad is to make more money. Considering the risks no one would sell it abroad if there is not at least a 10-30% extra. And 99% of the winners probably won’t even know how to ship abroad, or have contacts, so they will use a middleman who will probably ask for 5-20%. Then also consider that “the foreigner” will pay in a different currency, so there is a conversion cost, banks usually have a conversion rate of 1%-3% lower than the “real” one, Paypal even 4-5%.
So yes, 2.5-3k seems even too little to me.
Obviously my calculation is based on the current price in the market, in any case abroad it will be at least 15-30% more than in China.
Sooooo US collectors are we just taking the 104% tariff to the face? Think there will be middle man services to move product to a lower tariff country then to the US?

I’m skeptical about buying one raw from China since it wouldn’t go through Authenticity Guarantee, this might be a rare case where I just buy one pre-graded stateside, instead of trying to deal with an international seller.
I advise everyone to buy this card already graded from one of the top 3 or raw in the US through eBay authenticity program. Or if you have a trusted friend/middleman in China, do that. Don’t buy it from a random person. There are a lot of fakes. And the card should not be distributed yet. I have asked many winners and they all said they will receive the card in late MAY/early June.
