My favorites got to be generations. It’s a very clever design. Hidden fates though is what got me hooked on pokemon again so that one is iconic to me. I wouldn’t complain if the did an ‘alternate art’ take on a future etb and just made it super eye catching.
The remaining modern etbs are all in boxes behind these currently. The semi vintage ones are all pretty much above my price range for now
I have been working on these shelves slowly over the last couple months, they are nearing completion then I’m going to do the three shelves below. Lots and lots of stuff is just stored in binders and boxes but it’s nice to put things on display for a while, but definitely more of a winter thing and I keep my blinds closed nearest the shelves. Hopefully the next place I live I can have a more permanent display!
Absolutely love the dedication to Tyranitar in here. Is that a giant GB Cartridge? Also what’s the small figure on the tall black box upper middle?
I’m planning on doing some changes with thanks to @HumanForScale 's incredible secret santa gift but am still figuring out placement and display features. For the time being, though, this is the current iteration of the Gyarados display:
Yeah you have a great eye, both of those items came from my girlfriend, the figure she hand made and I love so much and the jumbo gameboy display she got me for xmas
My very eclectic and chaotic cabinet with my favourite Lucario cards. Sadly, most of the collection is stored in white boxes, but I do display my favourites!
RIP dialga collection (I sold all of my slabs And have opened the boxes lol) I have pivoted and currently focus on Froslass collecting now. Here is my display for that currently:
For my small collection i made a custom 3d print base that can hold 14 slabs. I put it in a corner away from direct sunlight.
Someone has experience on how strong are grading slabs against UV bleach?
I’m always afraid that my cards will fade even in more shadows areas of my house
As long as they are not in direct sunlight there is no risk
Direct sunlight will actually damage the card fast if just regular slab and slowly over time if additionnal uv protected Acrylic is added on top
I just have a bunch of binders charizard and pikachu for my base set-gym challenge sets and a really cool Ho-oh and Lugia binder for my neo sets. I also have quite a few PSA and CGC slabs I keep in a storage bin.
I’ve always liked adding little personal touches to my collection here and there as it makes it feel more unique and helps me appreciate what I already have.
The latest thing I had made was some metal plaques for a few sets that mean a lot to me. Just to give them something extra to let them stand out from the rest.
Plus it helps to see what’s in them during storage!
