Had this card for a while now. In need of some money and I was wondering if selling this card now would be a good idea. It’s roughly in PSA 5-6 condition and ungraded. I would probably not sell for any less than 250-300 USD. Should I cash in now or wait a few years? Do you think this card will hit a plateau or continue to sharply rise like it previously has?
personally id send it to get graded and keep.Make the money another way 
How much is a PSA 5 worth anyways? I’m considering doing that since I really like the artwork and card itself.
One just sold for $220 a couple days ago on eBay. Matching your PSA 5-6 grade guess.
Selling it now you may get 220 for it…however down the road it may be worth double. whereas if you earn the money working etc down the road it wont be worth double.So unless you are super desperate and cannot make.borrow./get the money legit, safe etc then I really urge you to grade and keep.

It depends. Is not having the money causing more stress (or limiting important opportunities) than the enjoyment received from having the card? If so there will always be another.
As for price, history tells us that cards below PSA 8 NM/MINT are subject to a much smaller & slower growth in price over time than say a PSA 9 or 10. So in my opinion it would be a safe card to let go with the goal of buying another one in the near future

^ true, however if he doesnt need the money urgently/its not a mandatory sale then I would still keep hold of it and grade. Prices are only going to rise so selling now, and buying back in the future will cost more.
You say ‘in need of some money’ but also willing to consider waiting a few years. You have your answer - keep the collectible. Also, define ‘need’ for yourself…money comes and goes, items you cherish don’t always.
