Wondering what you guys think about whether or not I should ship these cards to PSA. Don’t have a PSA membership, will most likely be sending them to smpratte and paying him for handling it. The cards were pulled straight from packs, put into sleeves and then toploaders. No scratches on any foil, would say min PSA 9 for all. They are:
First edition dark blastoise (team rocket)
First edition rocket’s sneak attack (team rocket)
First edition rainbow energy (team rocket)
First edition rocket’s zapdos (gym challenge)
First edition flareon (split earth - japanese)
First edition non holographic dark dragonite (team rocket) → worth sending?
to me it’s an absolute no-brainer, get them graded, they’ll gain alot more Display real estate, and if you’re not into that their value increases immensely, especially with the traction the beautiful Team Rocket set has been getting lately.
but if you rather display cards in a sleeve housed in a cardsaver/toploader or a binder for that matter, keep them as is!
non holographiclol so numba twenty-two.
unless you meant non holo number five D:
in that case we mount up front and go in arms against Cardhouse
and collapse it!
All are pack fresh and stored away so I’d hope none would be below a 9. I’m open to either keeping them for my collection and sell them eventually or just sell them right away. Wouldn’t mind selling to someone who’s doing a psa set collection
Why not? PSA 9 would be around $25 and PSA 10 at least $40 as it seems right now, for $10 I’d get it graded if you think it has a shot at a PSA 10 it being pack-fresh. Sure, it won’t net you loads of money, but at least it will be safely protected now.
If you want to take on that slow sell challenge, go ahead. Keep in mind you’re removing about $13 of profit with eBay/shipping/PSA fees. So you’re looking at months of waiting around for at best $12-$27. If you have a bunch of cards to sell it might be worth your time, otherwise I don’t recommend working for less than minimum wage.
