Seeking advice for late delivery

Hey everyone, quick question.

I bought one of those Silver Bible books back in November from Japan. It was sent untracked, last estimated delivery date is December 15th. I messaged the seller about a week ago asking what I should do. They assured me it would get here sometime in January and this often happens over the holiday.

Still haven’t received it and tomorrow is 30 days after the expected delivery. My understanding is that it’s the last day to open a Did Not Receive claim.

Seller is extremely reputable. I understand that it may take a very long time to ship from Japan but I also want to protect myself. Here’s the item:

Advice?

Open an item not received case, you’ve waited a lot longer than I would’ve lol

you can always gift them the payment if it turns up in the future

If its coming from Japan, add 30 days for customs in Van. The guys in the Vancouver depot are idiots, takes them forever.

However since it’s so close, you should open the case anyways as a way to extend it.

I bought from the same seller and it took about a month and a half to receive.

This. I opened a case and got a refund no worries before although it was a low value item. It was delivered to the wrong mailbox but i essentially received it. Offered to still pay the seller but they declined. Anyhow if you get a refund via the process and it turns up you could just send it again.
