Sakuramei's Mega Audino Collection

I did say I’d set up a thread so! As mentioned in the title, I specifically collect things of Audino’s Mega Evolution essentially.

Trading Cards & some TCG Accessories/related to TCG items

M Audino-EX Mega Battle Deck / Fates Collide

Status: Complete!

Besides the cards themselves, I do own both of the Battle Decks and the full Champion Deck box (I forgot to take a picture of the Japanese one before taking things out, but I do have everything for both!).

I also own a stock box in Japanese that the Mega Decks were placed in for selling:

MEGA Start Deck 100 Battle Collection / Ascended Heroes

Status: 7/13 Arrived, 5/13 Pending (Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish, French, Indonesian, and Thai are all on the way). Still need to buy both cards in Simplified Chinese once it releases in it! This photo below only has when I had 6/13, but I will update it once the others have arrived!

Besides having the Deck boxes in Japanese, Traditional Chinese, and Korean…

I do have the new TCG Coin from the Coin collection:

And CoroCoro included a special deck box and it’s the only place the deck art of Mega Audino hasn’t been covered in some way:

I also have the Traditional Chinese version of the stock box the decks were sold in:

Tournament Specials

During the Sylveon Girls Battles when they first happened back in May of 2016, in addition to the PokeKyun theming, they also included Mega Audino and the Battle Deck essentially. The very first two tournaments included a OOAK Original Shikishi Board drawn and signed by Kagemaru Himenu. The first of the two actually had Mega Audino in it and thanks to a very nice Japanese family, they let me have it!

Participant-wise, they also handed out Stickers and a Clearfile which I own as well!

In later years, they changed the trophy to a plaque that features the same art as the Clearfile, just with everyone on one side (instead of Sylveon on one and everyone else on the rest). It would be neat to try and get one someday, but at least it’s the same art as the clearfile. Unfortunately, the Sylveon Girls Tournament hasn’t happened again since the pandemic.

More recently, Japan, Taiwan, and Hong Kong had tournaments featuring the MEGA Start Deck 100 Battle Collection. While they both featured a paper deck box for all participants…

Both Taiwan and Hong Kong also had a coin in addition to the Deck box-- you could get a Mega Charizard Y Coin or a Mega Audino Coin which while it’s the same art design as the one included in the Mega Deck Set from a decade ago, the holo effect is actually different! (Left is the new coin from Traditional Chinese tournaments while the right is the one from the sets a decade ago):

Winning three rounds at the Japan Tournaments gave out a Winner sticker:

While winning three times in the Hong Kong and Taiwan tournaments OR winning a raffle got you this Playmat:

I’m really happy I’ve been able to collect them all! Korea seemed to go with different designs instead, but I’m keeping an eye out in case any other things featuring Mega Audino show up

Promos

Nearly forgot to mention these-- there were a few things created for the Mega Poncho Pikachu campaign and it’s the only promo card that sort of features Mega Audino.

I have the sleeves and deck dividers as well.

Plus the Charizard Y Promo box and binder.

Other things

I actually have A LOT of Mega Audino stuff in my collection, even if most of it is custom stuff (There is just… so few officially made things. There still isn’t even an official Plushie… Despite that, I’m always keeping an eye out for new custom stuff) so it’d be near impossible to put everything here without causing a lot of loading so instead here is just a couple of photos of some of my Collection display (We’re still working on getting it all displayed) and you can see everything in detail and more not shown in the photos on my Collection Site:

Awesome collection! This is the first time I’ve seen a species collection specifically for a Mega form, and you honestly have a surprising amount of merch in your collection. I especially love all the figures and plushies in the last picture, which are also a favorite part of the non-TC section of my own Seviper collection (although Seviper only has two plushies available, instead of a couple dozens :smiling_face_with_tear: ).

Love the banner of your linked collection website as well. I see you’ve also used it in your E4 profile.

Best of luck with the recently released missing TCG languages. If I see any of them for sale anywhere, I’ll lyk.

Greetz,
Quuador

Incredibly niche collecting the mega form! A unique and wonderful collection!

You have an amazing collection and a fantastic website! I had fun browsing and learning about Mega Audino.

The Original Shikishi Board by Himeno is really cool! What is your favourite item in your collection?

Welcome to the forum btw and thanks for sharing

Thank you all so much for the kind words! Being part of the LJ Collection community for a long time, I really wanted to find the Pokemon that called out to me essentially and focus on it. It took a long time (I’ve been into Pokemon since the beginning after all :P), but Audino’s mega form definitely sealed that for me.

I also realized I forgot to include the Poncho Pikachu stuff so I added in a Promo section ^^;

@Quuador Two is still pretty good! Considering every single Mega Audino plushie is a custom one I commissioned or someone had made already, I’m still hoping we may get an official one at some point.

Thank you!! The art was made by a friend of mine– Wintr Wandr . I love it so much. And thank you for letting me know about any for sale. I appreciate it tons!

@pikachutcg It definitely is full of facts and references, so I appreciate that you enjoyed learning from them! One thing I’ve learned from commissioning and scouring for any kind of merch, even if most is fanmade, is that there are a lot of common mistakes people make with Mega Audino so it’s definitely something I hope can help with lessening that ^^;

Honestly, the Shikishi Board is definitely a big highlight and one of my favorites, but I LOVE plushies a lot so that tends to also be a bit of a favorite section. It’s hard for me to pick one, but one of the recent ones I got that hangs out on my desk with me is this cute slightly poseable one by Cherrbunn:

I also have this Custom Figure by Viistar that features my Pokemon Trainer OC and Mega Audino which is very cute:

And I love this little Diorama figure made by Eli Eli:

Third party-wise, these Mega Audino figures are also super pretty:

That’s super impressive collection of a, if that’s not an insult, somewhat niche pokemon! The amount of plushes is crazy if there really isn’t any official ones, love the dedication :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: also cool to hear you have connection to Wintr Wandr, really one of the top modern artists!

Not at all! It is definitely niche and due to it being the only Gen 5 Mega at the time of release, it got a lot of unsolicited hate :frowning: Which I think still carries over to a lot of people’s issues with them.

But yeah, the closest we have to an “official” Mega Audino plushie is the Poncho Pikachu plush… And that’s it.

I have both the Japanese and USA versions of each-- main difference is the tags, but on the smaller one the keychain is different as well (Japanese features a gold chain while USA features a plastic pink one).

Japanese tags:

USA tags (same for both):

And that is literally it. The only other Pokemon Center campaign that Mega Audino has actually been a part of was part of one of the Halloween campaigns that was music themed as part of the Fairy-themed Band with Slurpuff and Vanillite:

While most of it was stationery stuff and accessories like some of the above shown, there were also socks and a t-shirt:

Not including everything to not make this too long but :stuck_out_tongue:

But yeah, outside those Poncho Pikachu plushie which can barely be counted as a Mega Audino plushie, we’ve gotten nothing. I keep hoping maybe it’ll happen with the new Mega stuff, but they seem to mostly keep making the ones that already have something…

Every other plushie on the website is likely either custom-made through commissions or someone just actually making one that I purchased or in the extremely rare case of an unlicensed 3rd party plush, but it’s mostly the former.

I had hopes maybe there could be a Sitting Cutie/Fit Plush and they were just waiting for Legends Z-A and the new megas to be out (as that brought it from 48 to 96) after not being included with Gen 6 or 7, but at this point, it seems unlikely for even that :frowning:

And yeees, it’s nice to see other people supporting them!! I highly recommend following Wander on Blue Sky if you don’t already as they share lots of neat fan art too T~T <3 We met through a Twitch stream I help mod-- they would chat and the streamer would commission them. A few of us from there are doing our best to collect all their cards out of support too (though, the art is great :P) <3

Omg I absolutely love your collection!! I feel the love for Mega Audino! I collect some Poncho stuff too since Mega Slowbro is on the same Poncho Pikachu promo, but I hadn’t seen those deck dividers and that binder before. It’s truly amazing how much Mega Audino stuff is out there and I love the multi-language TCG collection especially!

Wow, great collection! Your dedication is clear. Do you not like the regular Audino as much? I can relate.

Aww, thank you!! I had hoped when some of the Mega Slowbro stuff was announced, Mega Audino would maybe be included as they were essentially announced together, but that never really happened T~T

Since it gets so few official stuff (Like I said, it’s only really been in two campaigns and that counts Poncho Pikachu and you can kind of get some of its aesthetic in one of the dessert campaigns they did with Audino, but that’s really it), I try to keep an eye out for as much as I can no matter how small. I think the only things I’m probably missing, unless it’s something I don’t know about, are like random flyers/store displays/gacha display boards and things. I still try to keep an eye out as you never know what can pop up-- the Mega Audino EX Store Display Box I only found a few years ago despite the Battle deck releasing like a decade ago.

That said, it is exhausting. It being so rare means that it’s rare anyone will really keep an eye out for things. Custom stuff especially seems more prevalent in conventions overseas as well which isn’t super helpful here. I’ve seen cute stuff at like Comiket in Japan or Conventions in Vietnam, but nobody really wants to ship anything :frowning:

@qwachansey - Thank you! While I do like Audino a lot (definitely top 5), it’s definitely not the same as how much I like Mega Audino. I can’t fully explain it (and Audino in general is still pretty special to me), but it’s just kind of a different thing. That said, I don’t think there is any Pokemon line where I actually like every form equally. At best, 2/3.

What an insane collection. This is awesome and I like the whole white/pink aesthetic.

Also holy moly you are deeeeeeeeeep into the fandom sites lmao

Thank you!!

Well, I need to try and keep track of everything somehow :stuck_out_tongue: But also, leftovers from making my very first website when I was like 7.

I don’t know if I’ll add these to the first post or not yet due to the circumstances, but as many of you may already know, TCG Pocket recently added THREE Mega Audino cards in their new Pulsing Aura set!

It took a while, but I did eventually manage to get at least one of each thanks to some kind people willing to trade T~T <3

While the ones to each side are essentially mirrors of the recent Ascended Heroes/100 Start Deck Releases… (Left = Ascended Heroes / Mega Start Deck 100 while Right = TCG Pocket) :

The Rainbow border card is the first fancy full art that Mega Audino has gotten and as much as I love it, I was also a bit heartbroken that it’s digital only as it’s so pretty:

So as some people make fanmade versions of the TCG Pocket Cards, I ended up getting a set. There were so many different shops I ended up just getting a few:

I still would really love them to get official cards, especially the rainbow border one, but I’m happy to have them in a physical way in some capacity for now.

As for collecting them in TCG Pocket, as much as I’d LOVE to try and get each language there too, the trading restrictions make it a bit unlikely for me to achieve that anytime soon unfortunately. (I rarely every get 2 Star rarity cards, let alone duplicates, but maybe I can at least get them all for the regular EX)

wow the tcg pocket maudino is crazy good

Nanméouie translates to “No, but yeah ok” which is such a funny name

It is!! I love it so much.

Yeah, pretty much all the names are a pun tied with some reference to ears/hearing essentially. In the sense of Tabunne and Audino, it has the “ne?” and “no?” where it’s used in the sense that it could mean “yes? / right?” thus that part of the French one but it is very silly XD

Happy to say that I managed to find sales for the other languages I was missing (besides Simplified Chinese as it isn’t out yet). Still waiting for most to arrive, but the Latin American Spanish ones arrived!!
