Dont think so
Sewaddle from the set has an interesting Raichu cameo.
I wonder if there will be a Raichu card which Sewaddle features in?
Apparently these proxy sites have already filled their orders on these boxes? thats long seems i will be unable to even make an order i didnt realsie you could pre order the pre order
I made an order anyways seems it went through so i guess will see what happens
It will get cancelled.
Espeon boxes Sold out in 11 minutes. Probably would have been ever faster if the site didnāt crash.
Gotta catch 'em all ā and I did!
Site was almost completely inaccessible for the entire time they were available. I got one in the cart but couldnāt get beyond the first step in checkout.
The boxes were also limited to one per person, but I donāt know how easily that can be circumvented.
How on earth are you guys getting through?
Got to the page a few times but crashes before I can order
Are yāall using proxy servers to try to access the site from overseas? It was a breeze getting through here in Japan.
I hit the same step, and that was it. Super frustrating 20 mins. I didnāt even know it was sold out until like 3 minutes ago⦠My pages were loading so slowly. Do I need to have better internet to make this more of a guarantee, or is it just a crap shoot altogether?
@japanime, ehh really? I live in Japan and it was brutal for me.
Iām accessing from Japan - still canāt even load the site at all
Bots.
I doubt more than a handful of individual users managed to place an order as the site started getting overwhelmed 15 minutes before the product was even available. Bots basically allow you to go straight to the payment step without having to load up the item, add it to the cart and confirm the quantities.
The only way to combat this is for people to unanimously stop purchasing items like these for greatly inflated prices, but I canāt see that happening any time soon, so bots are now the future of modern product.
@japanime,@salaryyy, Could it possibly have to do with location? Iām in Nagasaki and have trash internet. Are you guys located in more central locations?
@pichufan, well, damn. Thatās pretty unfair. So if I wanna buy these Iād likely either have to be lucky or use one of these bots?
Itās nothing to do with location - Iāve been speaking with several people this evening who are in Japan who had the exact same problems we all had. The only people I know who were able to get the boxes were using bots - and some of those are bragging about how many boxes they managed to secure.
PokĆ©mon Center Japan can combat the problem by adding IP/address-based checks on orders, but at the end of the day they have no reason to - if their stock sells out immediately thatās just a whole load of money theyāve made. This is unfortunately how modern PokĆ©mon now works - you canāt buy direct any more unless you yourself become part of the problem.
For me the solution is to just ignore the sets completely. Iāve lost almost all interest in modern product because of problems like this, and Iām sure I canāt be alone in that.
I have no clue how it works - Iām in Yokohama and would say my internet is pretty good.
Possible. Iām on the outskirts of Tokyo. The gargantuan data centers are just nanoseconds away.
Those were some very frustrating 35 minutes. Got the box in my cart but was never able to go through with the purchase, when the special box sold out the same happened with the booster boxes. They did lottery for the Melony box but not for this one? Either thereās something Iām not seeing or they just took the worst possible route to go around selling these.
Anyone who was manually getting the boxes had very little chance. This release was hit very hard by US-based resellers using bots and middleman addresses. They easily bypassed the one-per-person requirement to buy out the stock nearly immediately.
I can only assume that Pokemon Center Japan felt that they had enough stock to satisfy demand, especially with the one per person limit, but the botting/reseller groups are very good.
If you didnāt get it, donāt feel too bad. Hopefully they will eventually come back into stock!
Some of the product came back a few minutes ago, and sold out in a flash.
