Hello,

I have recently purchased a PSA 9 Corrected Blaine’s Charizard on ebay. The card was listed as new and the pictures looked perfect, but after receiving the card I was super disappointed because the card has some really annoying scratches running over the holographic portion of the card. I tried following some videos on Youtube but nothing has worked.

The seller was contacted through ebay and I informed them of the problem. They have sent me videos on cleaning tips but nothing has worked. I have asked them if I could return the card (they declined), or if I could receive a partial refund for the cost to submit to PSA (They offered $10 USD).

Could someone with experience in this please help me figure out the total cost of sending it to PSA? Shipping costs, insurance, etc. I have no experience with this and just want to know the costs before accepting anything with the seller.

Please note: I have not opened any dispute with the seller and am trying to sort this out privately before asking ebay to step in. I would have no problem with this transaction had it not been for poorly placed case scratches and the listing having the condition as “new”. The card was purchased for $3000 USD.

This does the trick. Can’t recommend it enough. Works for PSA, CGC, and BGS. Anyone dealing in slabs regularly should have some.

At 3k, $10 seems off. I agree you can fix it yourself, however I think the seller should have offered $30-50 or nothing. $10 doesn’t sit right on a 3k card. If you were being overly particular then no refund wouldn’t be wrong either.

I get cases scratched up straight from PSA all the time, usually nothing I can’t buff out though. I don’t feel it is the sellers responsibility to refund you anything unless you specifically asked him if the case had any scratches and he said no.

In my head, I buy PSA graded cards so that I know the card is the quality I want, and the case shouldn’t make it look like a lower grade. I’ve ordered some Plastx from Amazon, so hopefully, I will make that beauty shine!
