I picked up my first crystal today for what I think is a pretty decent price. I normally only grade 10-worthy cards (I’ve only ever gotten 9s/10s on 150+ cards) because I don’t have enough grading experience to tease out lower conditions. This one is a tough one for me, so I was curious of you guys thought the back of this card was 9 worthy given the issues on the bottom border. Otherwise I probably won’t spend the money to grade it. Thanks a lot!
White line on right bottom corner. It’s enough to make it a 9.
So this much edge wear is acceptable for 9s lol? Maybe I’ve been way too strict on my cards 
It’s maybe not even a 9. But it’s for sure not a 10. And that’s what you asked for. She continues damage (damn can’t find the right word for it) really kills the card on quality and appeal.
I personally would grade it either way, even as a 8 you might be lucky and it will go up in price the next 5-10 years and then having it cased will be a good idea
Nah I specifically asked if it was 9 worthy, because I know this isn’t a 10 for sure. I wasn’t going to grade it if it had no chance at a 9.
With a Zard, any of the Legendary Birds/Dogs, Gold Stars I would agree.
But we don’t know what card it is =) We only see the back.
Its no Ho-oh, Charizard, or Lugia but its a start to my crystal collection. I didn’t show the front because only the back has issues. But here it is.
possible 9? if the front has no scratches etc. worth a pop. Id rather have whitening on the back and a perfect front than a bit on both
weak 9 strong 8 imo with the warp and the whitening on the bottom left and right on the back.
I’m inclined to agree with you on it being a weak 9, but I’ve never seen slight card curling affect the grade.
I’d say between a strong 8 or low 9. Best bet is to get it graded.
