Helpful considerations: What should be the focus of the game?

All I know is we were robbed of a Zygarde post game in X&Y or we were robbed of Z version. And I’ll never forgive them for it.

They did give him a thermonuclear bomb form as a mega recently, but that still doesn’t make up for this historical crime.

Quickest path to teambuilding, thanks.

I’ll take less story and more focus on worldbuilding and more general post game stuff to do.

Games with an expansive postgame and side content (Crystal, BW, BW2) tend to be my favorites.

story?

My first thought was that an expanded side story would actually help with world building and rounding out the stuff (characters, setting) beyond the main road to champion. The side story could also help with post game stories/things to do.

Agreed.

I’d rather have far more side-quests and things to minimize grinding for levels, BUT also have a higher level elite four that is closer to the last, maybe second to last thing in the game. You can always grind, flatten the elite four, and then do side quests, but I personally like having sidequests as a way to prepare for the ultimate fight.
Want more heart containers, or max potions, or perhaps ultimate moves that you can’t learn otherwise? Complete sidequests. Want more money to stock-up? Complete siide quests.

I think some E4 have been around Lv 75, but imagine having an elite four around 75-80.

Playing G/S and making it to indigo plateau, only to be told Mt Silver is off limits because you’re not strong enough. It’s different than Cerulean Cave, where you unlock after Elite 4. but rather even AFTER that, the game denies you. While that cool and all, I’d rather have the elites be the truly strongest around BY FAR. But I also hate grinding, so combine side quests with grinding.
