Blue for gaming. Pretty sure it had vulpix and sandshrew. Red for the box art though.

Blue so I can wake up in my bed and believe whatever I want to believe, red so I can stay in Wonderland and see how deep the rabbit hole goes

I picked Squirtle in Red

Blue was my main missingno hub. The same 999 hour file for 20 years.

It also has one of the best Sugimori’s on the front, whereas Red has possibly the worst Sugimori of all time, the old man clenching fists underbite bulldogzard.

Red because of Charizord on the box art! Another reason is that I prefer the oddish line, which is a Pokemon Red exclusive.

However Yellow is what I truly love

I had red, so I may be a bit biased. However, I’d rather choose: Arbok, Electabuzz, Scyther, Arcanine over the blue exclusives.

I think Red has better exclusives than Blue so I would go with that. Red was also my first game so there’s that.

I’d choose Pokémon Red only for Electabuzz …
Electabuzz was a decent Pokémon for adventure …
For competitive, Zapdos is better …
