Most emotional card to me has to be my Japanese Neo Genesis Lugia that I pulled in the first gen 2 pack that I ever opened.
I remember every single thing about that moment in my parents kitchen like it was this morning. It’s burned into my memory. The set was just released in Japan and my local card shop got in a few booster boxes. My dad got me a couple packs. I was so hyped to open a pack of brand new pokemon. I knew Lugia was the chase and I wanted to pull him so badly.
First pack magic, the Lugia was pulled. I couldn’t have been more ecstatic. It was an amazing moment I shared with my Dad and to this day we still talk about it now and again.
Anyway, the card stayed with me in my collection. I’m not big on grading but I recently decided to get it slabbed to preserve this special memory.

Probably this Hypno Holo, like many others my childhood cards were given away and one night in the beginning of 2024 I decided to rip my entire sealed collection including my vintage packs I had, the fossil pack was the last pack I opened that night as it’s one of my favorite sets and it came up in the range for a light pack and I was just hoping for a cool non holo rare and some commons and uncommons I liked and I pulled the holo hypno. One of my favorite pulls and the first of my vintage holo pulls!

I’ve shared this story on this board before. Forgive me if this is redundant of me.
But my cards were stolen in 6th grade. I was devastated as my collection was pretty impressive for the time.
A few weeks later would be Christmas and my grandmother knew about the theft of my cards. So she went out and bought me as many packs as she could. I pulled a Base Set Blastoise and was over the moon. Since then Blastoise has meant the world to me.
