I dont know about a 1:1 replacement, but I like Hisuian Zoroark alot more than its regular form.

Another good contender for VGC especially!

My examples are still kind of the same Pokemon, but replacements are hard to make a decision on because I love them all.

Visually, I feel like Meowstic was replaced by Indeedee… I liked Meowstic originally but I think I like Indeedee better haha.

I also feel the same way about Pyukumuku being replaced by Pincurchin. I just remember being really amused by Pyukumuku’s cry in the game lmao so I took a liking to it, and I don’t care as much for Pincurchin.

Some might also think Bellossom was replaced by Lilligant but in my opinion they’re just sisters - because I love them both so much haha

I think you could make a similar case for Greninja. Competitive dominance, winning popularity polls, feels kinda similiar to the ‘cool tryhard’ Zard vibe imo
