QotD: What happens to old pokemon?

In which one pokemon if the cpus lose they give you money and the other one has bets all the time. Either way Pokemon can be either extremely dark or a childrens game

Edit: This is getting a little side tracked lol I’m going to stop talking about my stupid opinons now

Ocean animals are known for growing until preyed upon, do you think in the deep deep oceans there is a giant ancient starmie laying around?

Good question. But the answer is simple: Yes.

It would suck to be an old Golisopod, imagine how creaky his joints feel

I pretend they don’t age and when they do, its a one off type of thing. Its pokemon, not real life. Some things don’t need answers

I would like to think having lived a good life they pass peacefully on. On to the next stage for Pokémon… well unless they are already a ghost.

Oh man, real questions right here. Infinite eons in a half-plane of semi-existence is some scary stuff. My phone battery won’t last nearly long enough.

Hmm.

I posit there’s some kinda warp/space-bending tech involved in placing giant dragons and other creatures within the small confines of a Pokeball, and with it come the inherent risks that sci-fi trope usually carries.

Notice Pokemon don’t switch from the ball they’re caught in - apparently the science depends on retaining the link between pokemon and ball. Yet this spatial/temporal anomaly can only be sustained for limited period of time.

Undoubtedly countless Ronin Pokemon wander amongst the Chaos in the Warp, float in Slipspace, or perhaps exist in Holtzman effect folded space - pick your space-bending poison.

I guess ones in the wild just, ya know, die. Think i been reading too much sci-fi.

edit: dang, my pokemon also ended up in a timeless void.

Is it possible that there is a dimension through which ghosts can pass through, similar to distortion realm? My theory about what happens to them when they are old is that they just become energy or anti-matter or maybe just pass back onto the ghost realm.

However, these are fascinating things to ponder on.

Cheers!

I’m sure pokemon centers and their fancy blim blim sounding machines can cure stuff like arthritis, heart failure and cancer so it’s just daily pokemon center visits for old pokemon. As long as you are near enough pokemon centers and don’t develope a sickness that takes you out in seconds you should be good and don’t need to think anything further than that
