I’ve had two major disappointments:

  1. I had an almost complete WOTC childhood collection (#1–#251), plus a big box of commons, uncommons, and doubles. Everything was thrown away during renovations in 2018. That loss is what pushed me to start collecting again in 2021/2022 to rebuild my childhood collection.

  2. This year I got scammed for the first time since returning to the hobby — lost about $200 because I bought without buyer protection.
