PWCC and IRS Reporting

Does PWCC report your auction sales to the IRS on an individual basis like PayPal/Ebay does or is it on me to keep track of everything and file/report the auction sales to the IRS on my behalf?

P.S - I’m going to be over the $20,000/200 transaction threshold on ebay this year and I’m not sure how PWCC factors into everything.

I’ve been kind of wondering the same thing. I sell on Amazon and get a 1099. I assume ebay/paypal give a 1099 as well. Obviously with any income, you’re required to report anything.

I need to know this too!

From what I’ve gathered - PWCC does not track / report your earnings for sales via their auctions / vault.

Don’t quote me on that but I think it’s correct.

Best option is to ask them. Their response times were good for me.

If they do or don’t it really doesn’t matter as you should be reporting anyway

I have not received a 1099 from PWCC and have been selling with them since 2018. You have to track all your sales on your own unfortunately

PWCC support:

“We do not provide any tax related documents, nor do we report any sale/transaction information on your behalf. We recommend reaching out to your preferred tax professional at your earliest convenience for more information regarding how you might be expected to declare any income from future transactions through our consignment services.”
