PWCC account limited for shill bidding

Was it wishful thinking to hope fees would be lower since they aren’t paying ebay anything?

@pokecollectoramy, could you share the source for that? I couldn’t find it on the pwcc website. Maybe it’s not on the pwcc website yet?

Hey, received it via email since I had a bunch of things listed in the vault before the eBay shutdown but I assume it will be public very soon if it isn’t already.

I still don’t think it’s wishful, just wait for the competitors to pop up at lower prices and we’ll see how rigid they are with their fees

I also received an email with the same table

AFAIK their Ebay fees were 2% so its not like I expected them to be much cheaper than they were

People out here thinking they paid the same ~10% as them lol.

I was going to say this. PWCC wasn’t paying anywhere near what us little guys do so it isn’t like they are saving much at all if anything especially since they’ve gotta run the platform that eBay used to do all the work for.

Sooooo is PWCC doing auctions right now or have they not started on their own platform yet? Trying to decide if I should make an account on their site. I don’t really want to bother until I know they will start doing auctions.

With those rates, I’ll just list myself on eBay since final value fees cap at $350 with a 3% payment fee.

September 1st is when they will list all fixed price listings that were previously on the vault marketplace. I don’t know whether they will allow users to start listing cards in the flash auction by then. Their FAQ just says that flash auctions will be available soon.

Just as it was before, you pay extra to pwcc to get rid of chargeback risk, shipping risk, bigger exposure and you get more space in your house lol

They also have little to no exposure on their platform compared to eBay

Still not on managed payments? It’s capped at $287.5 for the first $2500 of sale, then there is a 2.35% fee for the rest of the sale over $2500. I’d still rather sell with PWCC so I don’t have to deal with the risks of eBay, but that will now depend on how well their platform will perform.

But their previous prices also came with the exposure offered by ebay.
People complain about ebay fees all the time but the value is definitely there because larger market = more competition = better prices. Yes the numerical difference is only 2% but to their customer, they are now offering a lower quality product due to the restricted exposure. It would be the same situation if I wanted to open my own auction house. It doesn’t make sense for me to charge something comparable to ebay when I’m trying to grow a customer base and I’m offering a service far below the standard offered by ebay (or at the very least, a service that is not established).

True, but 150,000 registered users who ONLY want collectibles is not really nothing though and a decent place to start from

I’m on managed payments, plus have a standard store subscription. I thought fees were around 11.5% all in, with a max final value cap of $350 and no cap on their 3.3% payment processing fee.

People can always just list the PWCC scans on eBay themselves while also having items up in the vault as well. The only things really affected by all this are auctions and cards you wanted/needed to flip rather quickly to make a profit. Might take a loss on those selling via PWCC auction, because I don’t think it’s too far off to think that many of those were bought by “casuals” browsing eBay that might not have a dedicated PWCC account.

If you have a basic store or better, then you get the lower fees. Definitely worth it if you are selling expensive items. www.ebay.com/help/selling/selling-fees/store-fees?id=4809

12.35% up to $7500. I have the basic store subscription. I think I’m at around 11.5% due to top seller or whatever status they call it. Either way, not enough savings from PWCC to be worth the lack of exposure at this time. Maybe if their user base really picks up in the next 6-12 months.

You need to scroll down to where it has the fees for basic store through anchor store
