I’ve only been able to open 3 ETBs prior to tonight for Celebrations. Tonight I opened a 4th and managed to pull 2 Zards out of 1 box. I didn’t think that was possible, has anyone else heard of this and is it common?
I didn’t pull any Charizards in the 4 Celebrations ETBs I opened. But 2 of them had 2 of the original starter trio final evolutions, and 1 of them had 3. All Blastoise and Venusaur, obviously.
Assuming the chances to pull any of the 3 is equal then pulling 2 Charizards isn’t rare, but lucky.
The Charizard from this set is about twice as difficult to pull as the Venusaur or Blastoise. Not the most insane luck considering Celebrations is a generously loaded set, but very lucky nonetheless!
I opened around 200 packs of Celebrations and hit 2 Charizard. We opened an ETB for Christmas and got a 3rd. In comparison, we got 7-8 Venusaur and Blastoise in the 200 packs.
Getting 2 from 1 ETB is definitely very lucky, congrats!
I opened 36 packs and ended up with the Shining Magikarp as my best pull and 4 Reshirams… I didn’t even get the FA base reprint Pikachu.
On the other hand I bought the Korean golden box (5 Promo Packs) and one Korean 25th booster box (4 Promo Packs). And pulled 2 Charizard, 2 Venusuar, 2 Mega Rayquaza EX, 2 Tapu Lele GX, and 1 Xerneas EX. The cherry on top is I got the Shiny Mew in the booster box.
I opened around 40 packs and also no Zard. One Venusaur, Two Blastoises. Of course this is a small sample size, but based on what we’ve seen it does seem like Charizard is rarer than Venusaur and Blastoise in this set.
