Lmao why are people bagging on OP because his card came back with scratches on the case… He just paid to get it put in a brand new PSA case and it comes back damaged… Aside from the fact that PSA very well MAY have caused a bit of whitening or smudges…
If you bought a brand new car and when it got delivered with scratches on it would you say “oh well I’ll just buff and polish that out myself”??
Half of you saying scratches on the brand new case isn’t a big deal wouldn’t hesitate for a second to return a card/PSA card that “wasn’t as described”.
Another example of PSA’s incompetence in my opinion…
If PSA actually damaged his card he certainly isn’t showing it. We barely got to see the back in a video posted by someone else. It was sleeved before it was even flipped around, out of focus, had a ton of light reflecting off of it and against a white pice of paper that he wrote his name on. He talks about whitening and that it’s probably a 9 in the opening. To top it all off, OP hasn’t even posted a picture of the back post grading. Looks like another “PSA sent me a scratched/imperfect case” thread with an over the top title.
Plenty of people in this thread, including you, have said scratches on the PSA case are not a problem… I wouldn’t want a card like this that I just graded myself to come back with scratches on the case…
And if there are actual smudges on the inside of the case like op showed and is claiming, then yes PSA did ruin his zard.
Thank you! It’s unreal how many people don’t care if it’s not their card. E4 peeps have very short fuses around here. Appreciate the understanding. I’ll be sending the card back to be recased. Hopefully the smudges on each corner are not on the card.
What if I were to get a paint job on a car and came back with scratches on it? Should I just polish them out or should I take it back and get it fixed? I rest my case.
I’m confused, is the issue that there’s some light scratches on the PSA case?
This happens fairly commonly with submissions. Some people don’t mind them, some do. Sending it back for a re-encasing is not a big deal, and PSA will normally full take care of that hassle free.
As for the slivering on the front of the card, I’m assuming you’ve taken the blame of not catching it before sending it off, or else we probably would’ve seen pictures by now.
Either way, an entire thread with an exaggerated title was not necessary for this.
No I actually didn’t say any of that. I said the title of the thread is over the top. If it’s just smudges and scratches on the case to deal with it as in send it in and get another case. His zard is not ruined that thing is a mint PSA 9 which is a good grade. He went from saying it’s gunk and silvering to smudges and scratches on the case. If you want to be a band of petty complainers get eachother’s info and stop using PSA. This whole thread is a headache.
Your pictures in the OP does not show any damage. You said PSA damaged the card with additional edgewear. Everything you’ve shown this far is damage to what appears to be the case.
Dude… Looks like the case, that’s still not a clear picture. Idk why you are saying it’d be lower if it’s silvering because cards with silvering that haven’t been played get PSA 9’s all day. Specifically Base, Jungle, Fossil cards. They had silvering problems. I can’t show you a PSA 9 jungle card that doesn’t have silvering. That’s not silvering that’s a smudge on your case. They didn’t ruin your zard bro
I paid for a new clean product and that is not what I was given. Psa is in the wrong here and should not have shipped me a card case with so many flaws. You would be mad too.
It looks like it could just be an imperfection with the plastic and has nothing to do with the card itself. This still isn’t showing us the extra silvering and whitening.
Even if you get them to put it in a new slab there will be imperfections since it’s mass produced plastic.
