PSA grading of Legendary Collection cards?

I got the card back and can confirm there are zero scratches of any kind anywhere on either side of the card, holo section included. What is on the card are a couple of whitish marks on the bottom edge of the back that look like they could be wiped off with a microfiber cloth, and a ding on the back of the card at the two top corners. A dealer I showed it to thinks I should break it out of the case, wipe the card with a microfiber cloth, and see if the corners can flatten under a gentle weight, then resubmit. He does not think it is a fair 7, but an 8 as-is, and a 9 if the corners can be pushed down.

If you’re just trying to maximize value, just break it out of the case and sell it raw. Trivially easy to get PSA 8 prices for mint-looking raw cards, and then you won’t have to pay to regrade it.

@DrAndy
This is my personally graded LC Mewtwo that received the PSA 10 in 2023.

This was 1 of 3 highly graded CGC cards that I combed over and chose this one to send to PSA. I wasn’t expecting it to come back a 10 since it was so difficult to do, but I was lucky enough that it did :heart:

These cards weren’t amazing coming directly out of the packs either. I understand a PSA 7 may not be the ideal grade that you wanted, but honestly you should just play the P.S.A. game and settle with an 8 if it gets bumped up.

Can confirm, just got back these two LC reverses from grading, both straight from a pack to a sleeve before being submitted:
