I just manually looked through every listing that PSA has saved on their website to get a rough idea of how many of these are mislabeled and the results are quite surprising (and unfortunate lol).

Based on their database entries:

Of the 103 “1st Edition Prerelease Cosmos” cards, only 15 are actually Cosmos. This comes out to roughly 15% of these labels being correct, which means that roughly 85% of the Cosmos-labeled cards need to have their labels corrected.

Of the 284 “1st Edition Prerelease” cards, 106 of them are actually Cosmos. This comes out to roughly 63% of these labels being correct, which means that roughly 37% of the “1st Edition Prerelease” cards need to have their labels corrected.

Based on real world card labels:

Since none of the printed labels have the Cosmos label on them yet, this means that all 354 of the ones that are now labeled as “1st Edition Prerelease Cosmos” in the database need to have their labels updated.

If we apply the percentage of the “1st Edition Prerelease” cards from my small sample size of 284 to the greater population, we can estimate that 37% of those cards need to have their labels updated as well. This comes out to about 519 of these cards needing to have their labels updated.

In total, that would mean that 873 cards need to have their labels corrected. This is far too many cards to realistically be updated to have the correct labels. As time goes on, the population will head toward a “true” population report, but as of right now, it’s very far off.

From this sample size we can extrapolate that roughly 31% of the population is actually Cosmos holo, and the remaining are Galaxy holo. I’d need a larger sample size to say this with certainty, but of the available data, that’s the best estimate I can come up with.

Cheers

@mewtuw See my above analysis for a more in-depth idea of what the card population most likely is.

TL;DR from the data that I have access to, I estimate that 31% of cards are Cosmos.

I sold my cosmos in March for like $1750 or around there, still happy with that price I got for it.
I still have a galaxy
