PSA database with no photo

Wondering why certain PSA graded cards don’t pop up in the database with a picture?

I’m aware earlier on they didn’t use to photo and keep a record on the cards picture but what would the reason by for more recently graded cards to have no picture?

Looking at buying a card, and being in China I’m already extra vigilant to not buy fakes, so if a card is below market and no picture it has me cautious, but wondering if there’s a valid reason for no photo on PSAs database.

Thanks

I believe it’s related to the submission tier of the card. i.e. I don’t think the bulk submissions give you the imaging, at least for some periods over the past several years

Until recently (around the 78xx cert) only higher tiers of submission got images. Its quite a recent thing that Bulk subs get images. Even then, sometimes I find certs in my submissions that are missing images anyway.

Just following up on this I’m in a similar situation but the cert of the card is 145 - so very new. The card is worth a lot now but just wondering that since it may have been done in a bulk submission does that mean scans were never taken or have the scans just not been uploaded yet?

Don’t want to make a purchase for a card worth $1k+ without seeing scans nowadays lol

Just a question, how are you buying it but worried about no scans? Are there photos of the slab itself? Are you trying to verify authenticity?
