So I submitted my Charizard to PSA and heres the before and after pictures :rage: That big white speck on the bottom of the reverse was never there prior to submission. PSA needs to compensate for this bad business!

Have you reached out to psa? If all you have are screenshots from a video it will be tough. Psa has policy for what happens if a cards grade is overestimated but usually it is a bit of a fight back and forth to determine proof that it was damaged in their possession and that the grade is incorrect.

Did you crack the slab to check in the last photo?

No they still have the card those are before pictures in the top loader

Yes filed a complaint and sent the pictures that have the same minor edge wear to compare and identify card but not that big white speck at the bottom of the reverse!

Here is the video proof of the Charizard card I sent out to PSA. Its the first base set Charizard shown in the video!

Do you have the first scan that PSA shows you before they grade it?

@RattlePokemon will have a field day with making a youtube video on this travesty! PSA needs to fix the issue with my damaged Charizard! Someone please document it and post more to help support me to solve this problem! Thanks Everyone

Where do you find that?

When PSA enters your cards into the system, they provide a front and back scan of the card before it goes into grading. They would have been on your order page before the cards finished grading.

Also Rattle and Smpratte are not the PSA police.

Unfortunately things like this happen all the time. There are risks when sending off for grading. There isnt anything anyone on here can do to help besides providing their own experience and how they found a resolution.

Im sorry this happened to you and I hope they work with you on fixing the issue!

Ill have to check in the PSA website and I know Im just looking for support and want to bring this information to the community that PSA isnt on the ball right now!

Thanks Tony I really hope so as well. Its a shame that card was flawless before they put that speck on the bottom reverse. I had that card for 20+ years and they have it a week a mess it up :disappointed_relieved: thanks again for your support Tony

PSA grades approximately a million cards per month. It is unfortunate but things like this happen when working with such a high volume

I understand but for it to happen on a flawless base set Charizard it just hurts that much more. That was my first PSA submission ever and only sent that 1 card in the order. How they messed up 1 of 1 card order and it be a base set Charizard is beyond me

Just to put your mind at ease, the card is not flawless, even without the white mark you’re talking about

Dang, always sucks when PSA damages a card. Sorry you are experiencing this! As others have said, PSA damaging cards is comparatively rare. Given the number of cards submitted though, hearing about it is common enough. Most of us here are large-volume submitters so we’ve had damaged cards here and there. Expecting larger figures in the community to get up in arms about something like this is not realistic–even though this is a really tough experience that we all empathize with.

PSA has damaged my cards twice, both times they admitted to the damage. The first time the card was damaged before grading, and they paid out the declared value of the card plus the grading fee. The second time the card was damaged in encapsulation, and they paid out the difference between the graded value and the damaged value, plus the grading fee.

It will be a tough process since PSA did not admit to the damage, but hopefully that gives you an idea of what kind of compensation you can expect.

I just want them to make it right. It was an easy PSA 8 or 9 before they damaged it with that white speck on the reverse!

Did you send them in top loaders or transfer them to card savers before shipping?
