PSA 8,9 or a 10? - Dark Magneton Holo

Hi guys,

I recently bought a BGS 9 Dark Magneton Holo (1st Ed), and when I saw the amount of dust specks on the sleeve and scratches on the case (not the card itself) I decided to get it regraded just for the purpose of having a nice clear display.

However, I was thinking that I might try and get it graded at PSA and wonder, what are the chances for it to be a PSA 10, or in the worse case, a PSA 8. It has a surface grading of 9.5 and it has nearly no printing lines, apart from a very short one (shown on the pictures) - usually the Holo Dark Magnetons have issues with print lines and I have seen numerous PSA 9s with obvious printlines passing through the whole artwork.

Album - all the photos are under a very strong light, hence the amount of specks that are normally invisible (and they are on the sleeve anyways)

Besides the corners that I have zoomed on, everything else is on the card sleeve inside the BGS case, not on the card itself. Centering is sligthly off as well.

Thank you for any input guys! This is my first PSA grading experience.

Edit: wrong link

With a combination of the mild surface scratch, minor centering left to right and the whitening on top right of the back, you are looking imo at an 8/9.

What’re the subgrades? There are 46 dark magneton first Ed 10s out of 867 graded. 5.31%

The small print line + the 9 corners will highly likely see this being a PSA 9. I pulled one straight from the pack and sent it in to get graded and it got an 8. You may have a very small chance but I wouldn’t get your hopes up

9,5 for the surface and 9 for everything else.

Also thanks, I was mainly worried whether this could possibly be an 8.

It’s not a scratch but rather a print line, but thank you and I agree that I am most likely looking at a 9.

Could it be a 10? Yes

Should it be a 10? Probably not.

Sorry, I meant print line.

On review, I’m thinking psa 8.

I am mostly worried about it turning to be an 8. I guess no one really knows until I try.

Thanks!

How come? is the centering + the corners (which are not really that visible from a normal inspection) enough to be a 8?
