Yesterday I sold my PSA 10 Southern Islands set as it’s gone up SO much since I bought them in 2020, that it felt immature not to. I literally had a dream about them and had trouble sleeping the last two nights thinking about the parting. I have 9’s, so still get to enjoy the art. The title of this isn’t actually true, but the emotional side of parting with cards at certain prices is so weird… I have the same cards, but a #9 compared to #10 changes the feeling.
Wanted to start a little thread to see if any others had similar stories from their past… using it for coping
1st world problems. Thats what you’re supposed to do; sell the 10’s and keep the 9’s. I’m willing to bet some of the 9’s are in better condition than some of the 10’s you sold. Sell the grade collect the card.
Next step now is to also sell your 9’s and settle for a nice binder set. Atleast that is what I imagine I will do with all my vintage 9’s eventually. Never bothered to collect 10’s.
I have this too, and a few sealed binders. Idk why, but SI has been my favorite since I first saw it, but never had any as a kid. Fun weird attachments we hold close
