Funny how life works. I was just telling my step father (who is giving me a new lease on life, letting me stay upstairs, etc. 299 days sober, all that good stuff. I was just telling him about how cool it would be to own a pop 1. I know there has been some discussion about what EXACTLY that feeling would feel like; an energy card, eh, trainer card, eh. Then I saw this. One of my favorite cards I have pulled personally from Cosmic Eclipse when I first got back into the hobby, in a PSA 2, pop 1. Nailed it.
My curiousity got me a little bit here, looking at the high res scans. How could this be a 2? Regardless, it’s staying with me forever, and hopefully, a pop 1.
Let’s go! I have to say, I am not sure I’ve ever laid eye (yes eye, not eyes as I can only see out of 1, PSA 1?) on a PSA 3. That ironically seems more obscure than a 1, 2, or even 4. That’s sweet!
Thankfully I really only stick to Gastly. I originally had the intent of doing all three evos but yeahhhh that’s a non starter from my vantage point in the current climate.
Congrats on the near-year sober! I don’t know you. You don’t me. But I KNOW some of the hardest battles we fight are the ones inside, so massive respect to you!
For the card, that is one of my faves too. Great piece of sentiment there, and I hope it remains a pop 1 for you! If I see another appear, I’ll buy and crack it for you. One of my favorite arts.
