Poll: You just inherited 5,000 Moonbreons PSA 10, how do you sell?

Sure, it would drop some. Even if they sold at $600 near the end of the year, I would still be swimming in millions.

Me and @anthony_CCG are the only believers?

This is such an improbable scenario and its really hard for me to say what would be the right way to handle it. I feel like consolidation of that much of the population of such a highly sought after card like Umbreon VMAX with such a high population would set off alarms for a lot of people who are in tune with and watching the market and therefore cause a very negative reaction and sell off before you’re ever able to sell them all.

If one were to somehow have that much of the population in their possession without it being known to anyone else, I think continuously selling off a single copy on each auction platform and / or continuously listing one on ebay buy it now would be the best way to handle it to keep the market from freaking out.

Though the idea of selling it all to one buyer is extremely appealing and saves you a lot of work.

Instead of 5000 to one person wouldn’t it be probably more cost friendly and have more potential buyers to sell like 250-500 for 10-20 persons, slightly more work that way but way less than other options

if it gets added onto the pop would prolly dump

if it comes from the current pop would prolly hang on and see how the price moves

I would consign 1,000with @smpratte. The collector in me would keep one. Then I would travel around to find a bunch of Junior Pokemon( Under age 13) enthusiast in the most desolate locations and donate 10 to each until they were gone. Maybe have the battle me for them using a Build and Battle kit.

None of the above. I sell all 5000 of them at $200 a piece at card shows for cash which are guaranteed sales. Wont get taxed, price of cards arent affected, and I come out happy with cards I actually want, and make others happy.

I’d rather get taxed at $2,000 a piece than to sell for $200 cash.
In time the price would go down enough that more people that want them could get them, which is a nice bonus

True, but moonbreon shouldnt be that high to begin with, and Id like seeing people happy receving one for that price.

Edit: might give some away for free as a raffle, or nice prize at my next con now that I really think about it. Thats alot of moonbreons

Owning 1/3 of all moonbreon PSA 10s is a wild premise.

I like the selling at cons and lump sum sale ideas. Also wondering how much someone could set their own prices after inheriting 1/3 of total supply. I think the huge consolidation of supply would alter current market prices.

Imagine if a Logan Paul type inherited the cards and they began to FUD buyers who are already paying over speculated prices.

Both, auction 1 a week and list at lowest price.

I’m not worried about the auction ending for less than BIN price, many times people don’t even check BIN, myself included.

Where the heck did my grandpa get all these Moonbreons and waifu trainer cards?!?!?!?

Publicly destroy 4999 of them in a fire, just to make a point. Which point, dunno; it’s just colourful cardboard in a plastic case, featuring a someone half decent fictional dog.

Making a bigger point would be auctioning off 1 every hour to stick it to the investor bros who have 8 of them stashed away

my grandpa’s deck has no pathetic cards

I’d do the opposite. Dump 4999, become rich, then watch the last one disintegrate on a bed of hot coals.

I chose 1 per week but here’s what I would do:

  1. create 25 burner accounts
  2. sell off all my personal collection that I can easily buy back in similar condition on these accounts to earn a little credibility
  3. list a couple moonbreons at a time 20% below market value on alterating accounts every couple weeks
  4. Sell moonbreons over the 20 years+. as not to over saturate the market and keeping large suspicion off of my accounts, if anyone asks I’m a flipper who found raw copies in good condition and bought into it as the market exploded
  5. As we go along I’d buy back cards for my personal collection and at some point retire and either A stop working or B work a job I’d enjoy
  6. die a rich man (or not considering taxes and how much it costs to live)
