The Siesta would surely be a prime Snorlax candidate … but is not on display at the Van Gogh Museum …
Perhaps they won’t restrict themselves to just the works on display at the museum?

My heart can’t handle seeing this thread being updated
I know. I’m sorry! ![]()
Oh no, I did it again! ![]()
Anyway, so when’s the typo in the thread title going to be fixed? ![]()
Well someone could have pointed that out earlier!
Clearly fine art isn’t my specialty.
Fixed!

Has anyone seen these Van Wilder Museum promos? Anyone think they’re worth investing and HODLing? Is it too late to jump into these bags?
Also God help them when they discover Pokemon Card Game Classic.

Pokémon - Van Gogh Museum shop they’re currently working on a pokemon page in the webstore of the museum. “test yeah” ![]()
Okay the above link went from saying “test yeah” to “404 page not found”. Not exactly progress but it’s something.
Actually, changing the URL from /pokémon to /pokemon (because URLs usually do not use special characters) now redirects to a log in page;
/pokémon and anything else non-existent (like /digimon) does give a 404;
Logging in and navigating to /pokemon does still end up getting you a 404 though.
Flying out in less than two days and we still know nothing! ![]()
Maybe on the 28th they will announce something is going to happen later this year / next year instead of this week. I hope not since i bought 12 tickets for saturday😅
Everyone’s greatest fear on 28th Sep:
"We’re having Pokemon x Van Gogh paintings promos in the form of posters! Nice posters you can hang in your bedroom… "

Worse if the promos are mugs, rugs or bedsheets! ![]()
Sign me up for post cards and bedsheets please.
Am i the only one that would want postcards in addition to promo cards?
Im very excited by the collaboration in general.
The real question to wonder if cards are released is will they only be released in Amsterdam? Will they get a Japanese release? What about North America? $30 online purchase promo?
I am quite certain that if there is a promo to be released for the collab, it will probably be a sort of a door gift for visitors. This is due to the fact that they are holding back the information for so long; perhaps the target audience in which they are trying to draw to the event are not hordes after hordes of scalpers but people who actually wants to visit the museum, as least as much as possible.
If revenue is purely what they are looking for, I think a round of halloween poncho pikachu purchase promo can set their website (and revenue) into overdrive, no need for the effort to collab with a museum. I feel that collaborations are such are there to show that the Pokemon Branding could indeed elevate to another level; which is why events such as POKÉMON X KOGEI | Playful Encounters of Pokémon and Japanese Craft are popping up.
Shall see how things develop on the 28th.
At the very least I would expect Pokémon themed versions of Van Gogh merchandise that already exists in the online store e.g. poker playing cards, skateboards, bags, enamelware, cups, stationery, linen, etc, if not TCG promos
Oh for sure those would be available, since there is already a web link for it. They will just have to drop the merchandices on the 28th. Searching Pokemon x van gogh on google now also brings the searcher to the van gogh website though it still shows 404 for now ![]()
