I didn’t go to Tokyo just for Pokémon cards!! Yokohama was not as bountiful anyway, so went to Tokyo. Found a no rarity zard, and in a nearby shop found a no rarity hitmonchan that got a PSA 10!

It’s interesting. I feel like you can find older staff NM cards for less money raw than the 2022. Having said that I purchased one for more than I planned. Might be a special year with london theme and it’s a return from covid. I think eventually there will be a deal for a staff going 300$ instead of 500$+ or a sealed pack going for 500$ instead of 800$. Time and patience will tell.

Were attendence figures announced?
Japan has been opening back up slowly, originally early in June they allowed visitors but needed to be in a tour guide setting. Now starting September you can enter japan without a tour guide but your entire trip has to be booked by a travel agency. So they are opening back up slowly so Yokohama is very possible unless some crazy shit happens next year.
As for world’s merch this year. I find it interesting everything that was World’s exclusive sold out within days, That hasnt happened in like years since like 2014 when they use to do that. I’ve also noticed this year A LOT of the competitors that got their swag bag were selling the promo packs rather than split it up and just get their own foreign language ones. Very odd to see that happen and lots of people were mostly just selling than trading.

Fun thing I heard - Volunteers (myself included) got three STAFF stamped promos at Washington D.C 2019 Worlds. It was upped to four copies for 2022 because the Worlds competition officially started on Thursday for the first time, making it a four-day event.
