Like yours, it matches the playing cards distributed in the January 1999 issue of Shogakukan Kindergarten magazine, but lacks the playing card suit/rank (instead having a blank space where they should be). Unlike yours, however, mine is not holographic. The back of mine is completely blank, no letters or design, just plain white like the rest of the card. I’m deeply curious if these are fakes, misprints, or something else. ---

Yeah, there’s still a few mini decks that aren’t on here of that variety. The majority of them are attachments included with magazines and it is usually easy enough to search them. I don’t have them all recorded, but i’ve come across a number of them. Hello @Janineneedscaffeine , I dont know if you succedded in your identification, but I was recently reading these threads which might be helpful : 1st is [All shogakukan books with price, date, summary](https://www.elitefourum.com/t/1996-2024-pokemon-books-published-by-shogakukan/49237) This a translation from the official Shogakukan website (linked in the post at the beginning) listing all their books, but you will have to buy them if you want to see whats inside. 2nd is [Shogakukan Stamps inventory](https://www.elitefourum.com/t/pokemon-shogakukan-stamps-1997-2006/33245), the author gave a link to his (very clean) website showing a lot of stamps and their year of release. Great thread here! I came looking for a deck from 2000 made by Shogakukan/Yochien, seemingly called Altogether playing cards. Appreciate the wealth of information here! I’m finding I quite enjoy the 1998 Pokemon stadium ones mentioned in the article. Early 3d models can be hit or miss but I find these charming. Figured I’d add this here since this thread is what got me a little obsessed with the 1996 original Red and Green decks and the 1998 Blue and Yellow decks. Because of the vast similarities between the decks, I decided to get 1 of each Pokemon 1-150 and just tried to spread the colors out evenly. Ultimately, the only differences between the Red/Green decks and the Blue/Yellow decks are this: - In the Red/Green decks, Pikachu is a 3 of Diamonds. In the Blue/Yellow decks, Pikachu is an Ace of Spades. - In the Red/Green decks, Mewtwo is a 3 of Diamonds. In the Blue/Yellow decks, Mewtwo is an Ace of Spades. - All the face cards in the Red/Green decks have a “digitized” background (the red/green dotted background). - The Blue/Yellow decks have 2 exclusive cards: Ace of Spades Surfing Pikachu & Jack of Spades “Blue” character. In my own collection, I would like to obtain the remaining Red and Yellow deck boxes. I also am still confused why some cards have a subsequent letter after their Pokedex ID on the cards. For example, Charizard would have “NO. 006A” or “NO. 006B” or “NO. 006C”. I have only seen A, B, C, and no letter versions and of a myriad of cards, maybe every card has these variations. I tracked down a copy of this set (2000 Shogakukan Yochien Altogether Mini Playing Cards). Pretty cool arrangement with all OG 151 spread across the numbered cards, some of the Johto mon on the face cards, and TR on the Joker.
