Nope – the ones I’m looking at on eBay either have opened the box to take the stamps out, or don’t ship to Canada unfortunately.

Yeah i know, where i live they charge about 30-40% for any asset that is in the category of “toys or cards”. It’s madness.

Love it. Pile on the fact that Canada Post has awful, expensive service. Meanwhile, nothing declared below $800 to the US gets taxed at all, and has one of the cheapest, most reliable post services in the world.

Yeah but between Canada Post and USPS, only one of those institutions is hundreds of billions of dollars in debt

I was able to score a sealed box with the stamps from a seller on ebay. Most of them unfortunately have the stamps taken out.
One month since the lottery winners were announced, and the Yahoo Japan auction prices are holding steady around 20,000 yen per box.

The promo cards are slowing down a bit, the prices have been slowly going down the past days. The box is holding steady tho.

Hmmm I have been keeping mine in the plastic wrap offered by the post office at purchase but looking at it today I can see that it is causing some minor snagging/pressure on the edges of the edge of the box. I have just been keeping the two I have in a storage container. I suppose we aren’t grading boxes at the end of the day, but if you do want to keep the box itself in absolute pristine condition then it might be somewhat difficult over a long period of time.

You can try to find an acrylic case for it. I am OCD when it comes to box condition haha

It’s worth to find a solution if a 100% clean box is important to you. The post office plastic is a little bit hard and inflexible so I can see it how it can warp and rub up on the edges along with the box cardboard shifting around as these things do. I can even see a slight bend in the corner of the lid of mine which wasn’t there previously.
Since the thing was never sealed in the first place, it is something I can live with. It’s hard to imagine these things being shipped around the world without getting some wear and tear.
End of November. Am I correct in thinking all boxes are now released?
Anyway to confirm if 80,000 were made as originally stated?
Cheers guys

With the seal on the boxes, you can’t really tell 100% if it’s been tampered with. You could open it, take the cards out, and reseal it. I wouldn’t trust a sealed box has the stamps or cards inside unless I opened it myself.
Also, the prices of the cards are now less then 15000 yen. Let’s see how low it goes.
originally it was 80,000 made but then they upped it to 100,000 due to the demand. Some were released in early august cause of an expo that was lottery only. then the rest were released in late october
