I doubt delivery charizard will be as easy to acquire as the pikachu

I think the opposite. They saw the success and demand for pikachu in the after market. If anything, that encourages them to print 100x more charizards than pikachus. They know as long as the promo runs, people will buy merch from their website. The most likely reason for the (perceived) delay in release is that they are waiting until they can print enough to maximize revenue on their site during the promotion.

Could be like what they did with the illustrator Charizard. People went crazy buying it on release day that they simply printed more…and more…and more. I remember seeing people selling them in blocks of 100 on ebay lol

Not sure if you’re wanting to keep this thread specifically to modern releases, but if not I finally picked up these two Pokémon Center New York postcard invitations earlier this month after first learning about them at the start of last year:

I was very surprised to have won these for $257.70 - my max bid was much higher than that. With all the current Pokémon Center hype going on a big part of me wasn’t expecting to win these, either.

I personally think they will release the Special Delivery Charizard in the 25th Anniversary set this fall. While that might seem crazy because it’ll be scalped, I anticipate them printing a ton of it. Like someone stated a few posts above, there just isn’t much inventory to do a promo on the site, and also they saw what happened with Special Delivery Pikachu.

Not sure if you’re wanting to keep this thread specifically to modern releases, but if not I finally picked up these two Pokémon Center New York postcard invitations earlier this month after first learning about them at the start of last year:

James (PichuFan) on Instagram: "A while ago @charliecollects shared a picture of his two Pokémon Center NYC invitation postcards. Prior to that point I'd never either before, and I immediately went looking to see if any were up for sale.⁣ ⁣ Little did I know it'd take over a year for any to appear (at least with visibility to me in the UK). Both of these were put up in two separate listings and I knew I had to have them. At over $250 combined, I happily paid almost double what I picked up my PSA 10 Lucky Stadium for back in 2018!⁣ ⁣ These postcards acted as an invitation to the grand opening of Pokémon Center New York from 16th November to 1st December 2001.⁣ ⁣ Thanks to the preservation efforts of @tolovelfromvine and @mewisme700 I have been able to learn a lot about the history of the store and what it was like inside from their fantastic website pokemoncenternewyork.com - it's well worth a look if you haven't seen it before.⁣ ⁣ Growing up in the UK meant I never got to experience the store, which was renamed to 'Nintendo World' in 2005 and since 2016 has been 'Nintendo New York'.
