They will, I’m sure a good chunk are just flippers and when the supply increases, prices will drop on ebay. Just wait patiently and look at the listings when people start receiving it. I think you can get one above MSRP of roughly 50-100$, depending how desperate/how reasonable some sellers are, but they do go fast (some people scalp, but they try to be reasonable still haha).

Anyone else had a problem with their pre-order? I had the money taken from my bank, then got an email saying there was a problem with payment authorization and to fix it or they would cancel my order the 7th. When I type in my order number and zip it says no order exists and to contact support. Did that last night and no response so far
Had the exact same thing happen. The charge shows as pending on my credit card. Still waiting on a response

@fazool and @ultevolution
Did you contact your credit card first to see if the payment has gone through and authorized? This is exceptionally bad timing for both of you because shining fates part 2 just released today, so I am confident that pokemon center support is absolutely swamped with complaints as a huge amount of order went through (with a lot that failed along the way). Might be a good idea to do a follow up again now as the release is over.
I really hope this is true…
But in reality I know this isn’t going to happen. This is a limited item of only 5,000 made. There are way more than 5,000 people interested in this item I would think.

There isn’t any way to follow up ditto, they only have their contact form
My bank defenitely authorized the payment, it’s something on their end as searching the order number doesn’t bring anything up for me to update my information
I haven’t decided what Pokémon to use this ball on yet.

Maybe because the listing are tailored to only for USA or Canada, but I based this off of the 25th skateboard release which was WAY worse than the release of the masterball, and I’m quite confident the quantity released for the skateboard was substantially less than 5,000. When the skateboards started arriving to people’s doorsteps, it was readily available for roughly 80$ ish premium for quite a long time.
@fazool damn that sucks…hopefully they get this fixed or kept a small allocation for issues like these.

Look, I honestly hope you’re right because I’m after one but when I think of what I’d want more, a skateboard or a licensed Master Ball, it’s a no brainer.

Yeah, fingers crossed for you too, too bad this thread came up late because I could have ordered one more and helped you out…
So to give you a perspective of the skateboard vs the masterball:
Skateboard released twice:
1st Wave: site crashed completely, almost no one got it, crippled the website so Pokemon center stopped the orders and put out a second date.
2nd Wave: site still crashed completely, I tried between the hours of 1pm pst to 6pm, got blocked multiple times and basically had no window at all to order it.
Masterball release:
When it came out, the site was laggy for the first few minutes of release, but afterwards, it was easy to order for a couple of hours. My friends even discussed it for a few hours before placing an order.
REALLY hope I’m right for your sake, but maybe you’re right, the masterball is more coveted than a skateboard, but supply wise the masterball has an advantage. Wishing you good luck!

How do you all find out about new releases? Just checking out the pokemon Center site?
I’m sure you can grab one on eBay.
For the US Pokémon Center website, www.pokemoncenter.com/category/new-releases lists all the new releases and at the bottom of the page you can sign up to receive marketing emails.
For the Japanese Pokémon Center website, www.pokemoncenter-online.com/?main_page=product_list&sort=new&new=on lists all the new releases. You can receive marketing emails once you’ve created an account, but to do that you’ll need a valid Japanese telephone number.
Crazy…
The masterball is something I’d never normally buy the only way I justified it was essentially “trading” a bulk graded card for it value wise. Now they are selling for $400-$500. It’s cool but it’s literally something I wouldn’t spend $20 on otherwise as I really don’t buy much “stuff” at all really. I haven’t sold it and I don’t really plan to but the market has me questioning my sanity on so many things lately my cards included.
Same goes for this figure. If I saw it in time I woulda bought it knowing it was going to sell out quick and I’d enjoy it, but $250 for something made in china for $15 is just wild. What an I.P. Pokemon is. I haven’t bought the train yet and I just hope it sells out before I decide to lol.

None have sold on eBay as of this comment. Problem is it doesn’t ship til October 2021. With 3500 pieces, more will hit the market & it’ll prob come down to $350/$400 range.
It’s intetesting to see a charizard limited product. The more I think about it, I’m not breaking my back for it.
Was looking on Google for some kind of preorder restriction on ebay but didn’t find much. Are people even allowed to have preorder listings for something that is about six months away LOL?
Thanks again for the heads up for the Master Ball on Insta!
